Greetings to the ECF community and thank you already for all the information provided while lurking. Newbie to vaping, trying to quit regular smokes. Trying to start with smoking only 4 cigs a day coming off a full pack a day habit. Hopefully it works.

Purchased a EGO C from totallywicked and received it this past Friday. What a great and large community here... Enough information to make your head spin and oh yes it is spinning.

Couple of questions as a newbie, hope you don't mind as this is all new to me. I appreciate and thank you for any info provided in advance.

1. I am using the stock juice that came with it, I do not think it is flavored. It has a bitter after taste and can't say I really taste much when I take a hit. I have oredered some flavored juice from ecblend which hopefully will make my vaping experience more pleasurable. Any advice on the most popular sites for juice, flavors, etc....?

2. I am not sure if it the way I assembled it or the actual device but it makes a whistling/wooshing sound when I take a drag... Normal? Sometimes it will stop mid drag and thats when I get some type of flavor. Anybody with similar experience?

3. Due to reviews from a lot of people in the community I am going to purchase a Vision Clearomizer. Looking at this one which is V3 Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (Exchangeable & Detachable)
Any advice, tips, concerns about the item or website?

Again sorry for all the questions and thank you for taking the time to read and answer!

Oh, I LOVE number list questions!!

1. I started with an eGo-C, but I didn't get any juice with mine, so can't answer this. Check the front page of the forum, scroll down to suppliers and you should find LOTS of places to buy juices!

2. Normal. My Provari does it occasionally too. Try tightening/loosening your tank a bit...if it really bothers you. I like it.

3. Love love LOVE those Clearomizers. You'll hear people refer to them as Stardusts also. Be sure to grab a few of the heads to replace yours when you need to. I bought 3 of them and switched them out, using 1, 1 clean and ready, and 1 drying.

If you need more help, just holler! :D

Edit: btw, I LOVE TotallyWicked, haven't bought anything from the other store you mentioned, but if they're on the supplier list here, they're ok by me!

1. You will definitely enter a whole new world trying and finding your preferred flavors. I settled quite quickly on a daily preference which is a vanilla and menthol mix. But unlike smoking when you stick with the same flavor / brand all the time, its nice to try different juice at different times. It's almost a part of the experience. I sometimes pick a particular juice because it will go well with my drinks for the night. Like choosing a wine for a meal...

2. You get the occasional 'whistle', its pretty normal after all your drawing air through a small hole. It varies a lot from device to device but I remember it being a little more prominent with the EGO-C. You will also find you change your inhaling a little over time. Whereas on cigarettes you can inhale fast and hard, with PV's it tends to be a little slower and longer. Well that's my experience.

3. I think the vision clearos are a good choice for the next step. I have had a little trouble with the V3's (replaceable heads ones) versus the V2's, they just seemed to be ever so slightly more prone to leaking and or a plastic taste. But i did only try them a couple of times whilst mostly using the V2's. I will soon be moving on and trying the tank and carto option as an alternative.

Hope that helps.

Nib.

infoimp ~ lol yeah numbered questions just to keep it clean and easy! Thans for the advice. I like that idea of cleaning the heads and rotating to always have a fresh one. Thanks for that!

gavind4 ~ Ah thank you sir. I can only hope... So far today only smoked two cigs this morning trying not to but been v aping like crazy

Nibiru ~ Yes. I also noticed that pressing the button with a sec delay and taking a long and slow drag is much better. Any lins for the V2's you are talking about. I was reading something about the original V2's had leak problems where the newer 2.5's did not.... Is that true?

Welcome Merlin, This is where I order mine.. AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Vision Clearomizer - AltSmoke

I like this site because they have the drop down menu below the clearomizer with all of the accessories for it...can't make a mistake and order the wrong thing, like heads or the replacement base. I think a few other sites offer this option as well. I use them for all of my supplies.

If you are trying ECblend I would recommend at some point to give their RY4 a try with extra flavor as well as their peach ala zoe extra flavor and vanilla shot, and chocolate hazelnut tobacco extra flavor. These are all good without the chemical taste that some have. You will probably find that you need to add the extra flavor shot to anything from ECblend because their flavors are generally light on flavor without it.

Best of luck to you :)

Wandah thank you much for the welcome, advice and link!! That is exactly what I needed, anything idiot proof works for a newbie like me  .... Going to order samples of all those flavors you mentioned as I have to start with flavors somewhere.

Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Hey guys, I have a EGO-C and I was wondering do you guys clean the atomizer (little metal piece with point on top) when you swap out juices? I cleaned the plastic tip tank with warm water and filled with Tribecca from Halo but I can still taste the stock juice I had from Tottaly Wicked..... Is it the atomizer or is it tip tank from your experience?
