Yeah, that going to be tough to see what is going on.

Try This. Take carto off the Battery. Then take the Mouth Piece off the Carto. Now find something Flat like the Eraser end of a Pencil. Put it iside the Carto from the Mouth Piece end and see if you can GENTLY push the Center tube of the Carto Down Slightly.

Sorry about the DOA vision. altsmoke seems to be a pretty good vendor. Hope they make it right. Just so you know, your ego batteries are a 510 connection. I don't particularly care for the vision style of clearos I've tried - they seem to be finicky. altsmoke also carries the vivi Nova 2ml and 3.5 ml Nice clearos and easier to fill than the vision type. The Nova 2 ml is a great replacement for the Vision. It comes with 3 replaceable heads, which you can choose which ohm's you prefer.

Last question... Are you sure Your Battery is OK?

Have you tried the Carto on another Battery. And your Battery with Another Carto?

I have the dual coil cartomizers I believe they are called its watever came with my kit. And they work perfectly fine.

Ditto JenerationX! "You have to count on being able to keep vaping in the case that either battery or stardust fails." Or you drop it!
Better to get some extras, they do not go bad!
I like to change my mix, some flavors are better 70/30 PG/VG some are better 50/50. I like Vixen Vapors you change everything.

I have 2 batteries 3 dual coil cartomizers and the stardust I will be looking at getting some spare batteries and extras soon once I have the money too.

I am still smoking but have majorly cut down on my cigs since getting my kit pack a day smoker and in 27 hours I have had 7 cigs. Hope to cut down on my nic as well
