Hey everyone, I've been lurking around here for about 2 weeks now so I thought I should say hello!

The wealth of information around here is immensely helpful and I would have to wonder how anyone would get on without knowing half of what you can find out here. I could actually imagine someone buying one of these on whim and just giving up on it since they dont realize how finicky they can be and not knowing how to keep it working properly.

I ended up going through cignot, because it turns out they are an hour from my house and I get my orders from them basically the next day, a great experience there for sure! That was one of my big worries, running out of stuff and having to wait weeks for mail since you cant just goto the gas station and pick up some more juice :)

So far I am having mixed results with this. I picked up a 510 after all the research I did it seemed like a great starting point. First mistake was assuming the prefilled carts that came with would last longer than they did and not ordering any extra juice. I ended up running threw those 5 carts in 2 days lol. By then it was the weekend so I was out of luck. Also the marb flavor that came with was good at first but I started hating it after awhile.

The first day I had it I think I smoked about 5 analogs which is a huge improvement from the pack and half I've been smoking for about 15 years. I think I made it 5 hours before I finally cracked which is waaay longer than I've ever been able to do, maybe 2 hours tops! My job is super stressful so I think that is part of the problem, I was chewing on gum and just feeling like no matter how much I vaped I still wanted a cig. The prefills had 26mg and I actually think that was to high because I couldnt really vape it very much before I felt kind out of it, a little loopy like spacing out grabing for stuff and missing, lol..

I was out of juice for a day and half and smoked normally through that time and today I got my order of some english toffee 18mg and this stuff taste amazing! Also now I can drip on the atty which I have found to make a world of difference! I'm getting so much vaper im choking myself sometimes so I have to watch it hehe.

Unfortunately even with the new juice I still am craving analogs, I've probably smoked about half a pack today which again is a great improvement if anything, Im just hoping in the future I will be able to get away from them. One thing thats killing me is when I play video games or working on my car I always just have a cig hanging out of mouth and I cant do that with this thing so that gets to me sometimes too.

Anyways, sorry about the huge novel here, thanks for the info and being such a great community around here! (I think this is a parallel universe forum, I'm a huge forum user and I dont think i've seen one massive flaming argument going on here! lol )

Welcome lunareklipse and thanks for sharing your experiences! I hear you about the wealth of knowledge available here and the amazing environment....people here are just, well, awesome!

It may take a little while to get used to vaping being your smoking, so hopefully that's all there is to it. You may be missing some of the other alkaloids in tobacco so might try snus if things don't settle down in a week or two or you find yourself having a really hard time. At the same time, not everyone drops the analogs right away as I'm sure you've read and I personally ascribe to the "don't sweat, just grab your PV" attitude towards having a cigarette every now and then (though I haven't had one since 2/5 somehow).

Keep plenty of juice handy and don't hesitate to let us know if you're in a bind...the kindness here extends beyond words to actions, it's really amazing to see.

I like that you kept saying how much of an improvement the amount you've cut down on is - because it really is, and you should focus on that...how many you didn't smoke rather than how many you did. That's my personal take though ;)

Keep us posted, and happy vaping!

Congrats on the cut back.!!!!

I agree-It's more about what you did NOT smoke

I have also been lurking here for about three months now. (my first kit took a month-so I was trying to learn as much as I could while I waited)
My only advice is to give yourself some room.
My first kit arrived Dec 10. My Last Traditional was Jan 28 (5:00 am)
Personally I had no intention of fully quitting-I wanted to cut back to 1/2 pk/day
to save money mostly.
Eventually, I caught myself putting out the smoke cuz the pv was more fun to play with.
Then found I was actually craving certain flavors more than I wanted the tobacco.
(2 pk/day RYO chainsmoker)

Hang in there-This is not the same as smoking-you know that now-But a very interesting alternative. One day, doing both will seem unnecessary--but it may take time.
