Hey everyone new to mech mods etc had some questions

First id like to say hey to all from florida as im a new member and look forward to using this site for so much information and talk in the future :p

Question,
Im currently using the stingray mod clone with the aspire atlantis. with the samsung inr18650 battery.
After a full charge I cannot do big vapes because of a burnt flavor after a few seconds of inhaling.

Ive rebuilt the atlantis a few diff ways using 26 gauge wire and it seems to help, but I still get burnt flavor if long pull.

Question is im thinking the battery puts out to much power after a full charge (max output 4.2v)
Could I use a diferent battery? or possible rebuild the atlantis in a diff way/wire to accommodate this burnt horrible
taste im getting if I do long drags for big clouds?

Thanks for the help. I figured id jump into my question maybe to soon?

1: Best to get yourself a regulated mod so you can adjust your voltage to match your coil,
otherwise, you have to keep adjusting your coil to match your voltage until you figure out from experience what coil works.

2: If you're rebuilding coils, might as well get a proper rebuildable rba or rda instead of a clearomizer like the Atlantis.

Hi back from South Cali, I don't know much about all this different equipment, but with my 5.0 and 4.8, as the juice gets lower I have to turn them down or I'll get a burnt taste. However, it doesn't effect my cloud at all cause the lesser juice on lower power heats up the same as full tank on full power. My two cents, hope it helps, nice to meet you from Florida. B-)

Ohm's Law has been around much longer than regulated mods. Try more wraps or higher gauge wire. Increasing your resistance will compensate for your voltage input and lower your wattage.

Also, if you are using cotton, make sure to unroll your cotton ball and get all the threads running in the same parallel direction; this will ensure your juice is wicked to the coil much faster and more efficiently.

I would say stop rebuiling the coils for it and shell out the money for replacement coils for it. They work great i use 80% vg juice. For the past week i have been using it on my mech being the ivp3 is out of commission for another month till i can get it fixed and even chain vaping i dont get any dry hits even running it ar 45 watts. You battery is not the problem its your coils.

I second that.

If you want to rebuild then get a proper rebuildable.

When you use thicker wire in prefab coil heads, you end up finding yourself running the tank at higher power than it was designed for, which means the rubber/silicone/plastic insulator materials end up running at higher temperature than they were designed for.

In a rebuildable, the coil wires are screwed down onto metal screws, whereas with the typical clearomizer, the coil wires contact rubber/plastic/silicone material which may be releasing noxious fumes when overheated.

This might sound dumb and idk maybe im just to new to the whole thing. but at the local shop they suggested I try a diff juice.. I was using sweet southern vapes. and I went with space jam instead because the girl said that's what people use in mechanicals or w.e and so far it seems to be working great.. even on a full battery..

IDK if this is just working for now and the burning will come back eventually, but I hope not..

Does this sound like it could of been the issue the whole darn time??

I pray... lol
