Hey guys, first off i want to say, GREAT forum ! Really helped me get an insight into e cigs.

Secondly id like to say ive ordered an e-cig and 10 refills from deal extreme for $15. Ok maybe not the best place for decent ones, but i dont wanna start splashing $40 odd dollers around on something i might not like.

Thirdly on to the questions, id really appreciate any responses.
1) When i exhale, will the vapour smell at all ? What does it smell of ?
If so, will it stick to anything ?

2) How long will it take for ANY smell to leave a ventilated room ?

3) Does the Unit smell AFTER a smoke ? Is there any hint of a ciggerette smell?

The reason im worried about smell, is ive just moved into a new flat, and the landlord, is STRICT on smoking. The same guy evicted a mate from a differrent flat for smoking in the bathroom (the smell ligered, and the landlord came over).

Like i said, id appreciate any responce, and i might even stick around here. Seems like a cool place

Might smell a little like pancakes w/ syrup, depends on what flavor you ordered. It shouldn't stick to anything. It will not smell like smoke and it almost has to go up your nostrils.......(almost) to be noticed

you have nothing to worry about... no smoke smell at all... its water vapor like steam...

We had 3 smokers in the house we live in now, for over 5 years. We have all three started vaping and already the smoke smell is going away. I am going to have my sister-in-law come over and do a thorough cleaning (i'm not able to) to get the rest of the smell out of here.

So to sum up, if it is already smelling better in here without a cleaning then you will not have a problem at all someplace that you have never smoked in.

I have noticed a slight smell with some of the flavored liquids but it dissipates quickly and smells nothing like cigarettes. Vanilla smells like vanilla etc. The tobacco varieties have no odor that I have found. Again it goes away. Your clothes, hair, furniture, won't smell like anything. If anything your landlord will think you're using an air freshener but I seriously doubt he'd notice anything.

I vaped a lot in a non smoking hotel room. I had others give their opinion. None of us could smell anything but that unknown hotel room smell. The vaping didn't alter it at all.

Sure hope you choose to stick around, Gee. It IS a cool place... most of the time

... let me re phrase a few questions.

If i smoke it in a room, will others around me smell anything ?
Will the unit have a smell after use ?

It's not getting in the funiture or the curtains. My white curtains are still white and I have not washed them is months. I probably need to clean the walls, but not up to that. My doctor said it smells like powder or very lite scent, when I vape in you exam room.

In my experience what others smell depends on the flavor. How much they smell depends on if their face is in the vapor or not. None of it smells like smoke at all and if you have any kind of ventilation it will likely dissipate even faster. I don't have the same model as you ordered but I highly doubt that your unit will have any kind of a smell after use. I can place mine directly under my nose and smell nothing.

I hope that helps. I really don't think you'd get busted for smoking if you are strictly vaping. (imo)

@Christina ... trust me, my landlord wouldnt know the difference between smoking and vaping

It should be here in 2 weeks, ill write up a quick review once it comes, even if it is a cheap unit. I will get others if i like the initial feeling.

Also ... when you smoke a normal cig, i notice you get a head rush, or light headed after 3/4 of the way down. This is due to the Carbon monoxide ... the e-cig doesnt have this ... will i still get a 'feeling' in someway ? a headrush, or light headedness ?

I have vaped in no-smoking rooms in hotels and have had no issues, so I would think you would be okay. If you get caught smoking in most hotels in the Southeastern US you pay a hefty fee (one manager told me $250) for the cleaning.

Ah! Your landlord is one of those types eh?

I have heard of some people getting a rush if the nicotine level is too high or they've vaped for too long. I wish. I just get a nasty headache but it's a good sign to me that I need to put my pacifier down and go behave.

Seriously though if you do get a funky feeling you may want to try and cut back either in strength or time spent vaping. Otherwise you could end up making yourself very sick.

Ya got that right Mamacat. I've mellowed out. I get my throat hit, and I gave up the flavor thing. Vaping unflavored now, and love it.

Haven't gotten to the unflavored yet, but that is my goal. Maybe I will give it a try after the 300mls of juice run out that I just bought. I also wish there was a good 0 nic with a GREAT throat hit that I could try.

My son hasn't said anything when I am vaping right beside him and he hated it when I was smoking. Says there is a light fruitish smell for just a sec. Seems it don't matter that I am not vaping a fruit flavor at the time.

No smell at all lingers in the room. My husband would notice, he has a nose to rival a bloodhound.

If I shove the unit under my nose right after vaping (while it's still warm) I can get a minty smell. But that could be because I dripped it down the side and only wiped it off and didn't wash it off.

Your clothes won't smell of it, nor the car, nor the house. Best of all, your sense of smell will return. I smoked for 27 years and now can't stand the smell of it and it's just been 2 days shy of a month since I stopped smoking completely. It's great!
