Hey guys!

I'm a new owner of a Maxi Roughstack v2 and I love it. I am running it at 6v paired up with the 510 Dual Coil Mega XL carts and I have a few questions.

It says that the total resistance is 1.6 ohms, so wouldn't that effectively be low resistance? If not, and I purchase a single coil option(atty, cart, etc) would I have to go with a higher resistance, or would LR still work and not blow up? If I have to go higher, what is an optimal resistance range?

I suppose I should have asked this questions prior to purchase, but I read a lot of posts and many people said this pairing works well, which it does; I am just not a fan of the polyfil and I am looking into some other options. I've heard the clearomizer/fluxomizer setup with 6v is also a good pairing, but again, I am unsure of what resistance is safe with a 6v device.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions, help and comments :p

technically anything under 2.5 ohms is considered low resistance since 2.5 is the standard. But with that said, comparing 1.6 ohm dual coils and a singl1 1.7 ohm coil, the single coil will burn.

With dual coils, the heat is spread over two 3.2 ohm coils so each coil is not as hot, with a single coil, it will be very hot and double the watts of what just one of the dc coils would be handling..

A safe bet for 6 volts with a single coil is to start at say 3.2 ohms and work down to maybe 2.5 if your batteries will support it (the protection doesn't trip)..
