Been a longtime lurker here to the ECF forums back when I was first getting interested in the vape world.. Was pretty much a off-and-on smoker since the age of 18, in my forties now. Had some work buddies that were just starting out in vaping a few years back, and decided to give it a go myself. I just passed 2 years of being cigarette free on January 13th, and not looking back. Definitely the best thing I have done for myself.. Not only has vaping helped me kick the tobacco/cigarette habit, but it's turned into a hobby.

Started out a few years ago on a Ego-C Twist paired with a Tube tank. at that time, I thought it was the most awesome thing ever.. lol. Oh, how things have rapidly changed in the vape world in that short amount of time. My daily driver now is a Project Sub-Ohm S200 DNA 200 paired with a Compvape El Cabron RDA and a Uwell Rafale Sub-Ohm tank. Just got the Rafale last week and it's an amazing tank, imo. Love it!

Anywho, thanks to the ECF crew for the great site. Been a excellent source of info for myself while I was learning the ropes.

Hello, and welcome to ECF.

My personal daily driver is an iPV3 Li topped with a modded Bellus V1 in black. Getting an Advken Ohmega Nano soon, should be interesting to build and use it, as my modded Bellus likes to leak when filling or sideways.

Glad to have you here :)

Thanks bud! And about that Advken Ohmega Nano.. Hopefully this has been addressed with the Nano version, but on the regular Ohmega (non-nano), the bottom airflow ring tends to 'grind' on the tank glass from some of the reviews. The same airflow ring can also be hard to adjust on some mods when it's fully screwed on the 510 connection. I've heard they now come with a black ring/spacer (delrin?) that threads onto the 510 post on the RTA itself. This may not be an issue with the Nano version, but not sure tbh. If you get it, let us know as I was also looking at the Ohmega Nano myself. :)

Welcome!
Congrats on the 2 year mark!

Thanks Capt!

It was ordered from china, so it could be in my hands in two or so months haha! Based on pictures, the AFC ring doesn't even have any contact with the glass tank, but might be hard to adjust when screwed on a mod. I don't really care, as I run all my tanks completely open anyways, so it's not a big deal for me.

From China, it cost me just over $13 with shipping included, so it was kind of a no-brainer to get it.

I don't hear about that Advken Ωega tank a lot, but I have one (full size) and it's pretty awesome. I like it almost as much as my MT RTAs.

FWIW, My full size Ωega does not grind the glass, and I don't have any trouble adjusting the air. I don't adjust it a lot, really; I vape it wide open and close it only to fill. But I have had no problems in several weeks of using it as a daily driver. I set it up parallel with a MT RTA for a comparison-- identical mods, RX200s, identical builds-- and it's just a nice machine. I like the MT slightly better, I can't even say why, but not by a lot.

How open would you describe the Ohmega full-size version to be? Cloud machine-open or restricted lung-hit open?

I'm waiting for my order to get shipped, so I can wait some more when it gets here :D

Cloud machine :) Or at least semi-cloud. It breathes as well as the MT, and better (slightly) than a Lemo2. It also has good AFC, and it can be squeezed down for those who like tighter draw. It's not quite as open as a Mutation V4 dripper.

I can already see, that it was a great buy before even having the tank in my hands :D

I'm just gonna run it wide open anyways, so having an AFC is kinda unnecessary for me as I prefer cloud machine-type airflow and open-ness :D

In general, so do I. However, with top fill tanks I use the "close airflow (and JFC if it has one)--open top--fill--start top--invert tank--close last half turn on top--hold inverted a few seconds--right tank-- open air flow" filling method for filling to avoid the "juice puke" problem you get when you close the top on a full tank and the increased pressure forces juice past the wick. If you use vape bands, you can just position the band over the air flow holes for the same effect, of course.
