Bro, I'm thinking that one of them shoulder mounted radio dealios that y'all have would be awesome - I'd like to substitute the radio with a REO grand so I can turn head, fire and vape while doing yard work and other situations where hands free would come in handy. What do you think? Practical application? Could it be made (with little effort) to work? Thanks bro :)

Sorry for the late reply, super_X. I've been picking up a lot of extra security work the past couple of weeks and have had less time to leisurely browse Reoville.

I'm only familiar with corded radio speaker/microphones equipped with spring loaded belt clips. We typically clip them to the shoulder straps that are standard on most police uniform shirts.

For your application, I think a padded pouch on a lanyard would be the most practical solution. I say padded, because I'd imagine a Grand banging up against your chest during yard work could do some damage without a little buffering material to absorb some of the impact.

Mudflap & Unloaded, thank you for the suggestions. I really like the fixed, shoulder strap location like the po-po radios. The last thing that hung around my neck was a gold chain back in the 80's :)

I think I'll just stick to current rhythm of: mow a little, vape, mow, vape...

I liked Karens link too - almost exactly what i had in mind, but after further thought, it seems like the practical application would likely be cumbersome.
