Hey ECF.

I've been smoking since I was 16, two years ago, and for the past few months I have been looking at this forum and others to try to soak up as much information about PVs/e-cigs as I can.

Yesterday, at 7-11 of all places I ran in to pick up my usual pack of Camel 99s. But then I saw a sign that was advertising e-cigs. And i figured, for 20 bucks, its worth a shot.

So now I have the Xhale02. And I have now gone over 24 hours without an analog cigarette. I have a couple of questions though.

1) The xhale is treating me well nicotine wise (16MG carts I think?) I actually almost poisoned myself yesterday cause I was so ecstatic about what I had bought I was vaping constantly. I have ONE problem though. This tastes like the lightest freaking cigarette I have ever smoked in my life. I think I could compare it to a Camel Turkish Gold.

I've thought about buying a blu all along. I know that they have some bad reviews, but I like the PCC and just the overall style + I love that its automatic. My question is though, Will it be more.... for lack of better words. Full flavored? with a better throat hit?

2) Since yesterday I have had a killer headache. Could this be cause by too much or too little nicotine? should I smoke an analog to find out?

Sorry if the question has been ridiculous or if this is just the wrong place to post such things. I #1 thing I love about PVs is just the convince. When I'm DJing in clubs (yes I'm actually a DJ) I can get some nicotine without having to step outside.

Thanks for your help. This is a great resource, and I look forward to posting on here more often :)

1. the flavor is just what juice they put in carts their are a ton of juice vendors out thier with great tobacco juices.
Backwoods Brew - recomended honeyfluenut if you can get it when its in stock, melon bacco, any of his juices are good
Alien Visions E-Juice - as always bobas when it gets back in stock and gorilla juice. also ive heard good thinks about his Gamel(camel flavor) since u used to smoke camel 99s
and many more like Freedomsmokeusa. and vaperite for all organic tobacco flavors and want2vape.com

as for the blue their is a subforum i belive dedicated to experinces and tricks on making the blue work the best. i do like the automatic style batteries but got tired of low batterie life and pushing a button just becomes second nature

2. could be dehydration with e cigs becuase of the pg and vg in the liquid you have to increase your water intake for a while. and it could also be your body adjusting as nicotine from vaping doesnt hit the brain in the exact same way as smoking. in a regular ciggarette you only get about 1 mg of nicotine per cig but i vape 24mg juice to keep my nic beast sedated.
all in all glad you made the switch their are a lot of ecig vendors
for the best price on 510 kits and other stuff if you wanna get into cheap mods go to
Welcome to MadVapes LLC
hope this helps
keep on vaping

A KR808D-1 is a 2 piece e-cig and probably the most hassle free to use. They come in both manual and automatics. I do not recommend Blu for anyone who smokes more than half a pack a day.

Flavor and nicotine strength will effect how "light" an e cigarette tastes. You'll want to experiment with different flavors/strengths until you find what works for you. Vapor4Life has several sampler packs of cartomizers so that you can try different flavors (tobacco sampler, fruit sampler, menthol sampler, etc.) Their high end starter kit runs about $100.00 but it's well worth it because you get literally everything you need.

Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives

What ever you choose, welcome aboard.

The question is do you go through the growing process of starting with a kit then buying the extended batteries then moving up in size to the cigar type ecigs like ego or just start out right with a good mod. I say save your money on the sticks and egos and head right for a great American made mod. I fell in love with the Saber touch mini the first drag. I got the monthly special with the ecf coupon for $85. I also spent another $45 for 4 batteries and a charge. Get a couple boxes 510 carts and a flavor of choice and your all set. Sounds high until you add in the cost and wasted time of getting extra batteries then moving to a ego or other cigar type pv in another kit. I went from a 510 to the Saber touch mini in 3 weeks and happy I did. Plus the Mini has a 5 year warranty.

I don't think that the cigar-type ecigs like the Ego, Igo and the like are necessarily for everyone. I managed to do quite well with my KR808D-1 for 18 months before buying an Igo and I have to say that while I like it a lot, it will never replace my KR808. I won't use the Igo in public because it's just too odd looking, which limits my use to home and family get-togethers. That would be doubly true if I had a mod. Sometimes all I want is my basic KR808 because it works very well; it hits the spot. That's probably why some people won't part with their Joye 510's, even when they have upgraded models as well.

Thanks for the replies guys :) I think that it really was dehydration, cause I've noticed myself drinking a TON more water lately. I think in the short term. I'm good with ordering a blu. If it doesn't work for me. ill go for a KR808. I really like the 2 piece design.

I'm trying to start simple. and in the long run try something like a igo or something.
Thanks again for the help!

I see that attitude a lot and I honestly do not understand it. First off, the Igo is made to last a long time both chargewise and juicewise. It's when you're away from home that you need it. Second, people hate smoking and whether they admit it or not, they hate smokers. Why do you want to look like you're smoking? My first kit which I will never pick up unless I'm desperate is the only cigarette sized thing I have. I used the eGo in public for quite a while. Lately, I've been using a homemade box mod that looks like it fell off a UFO. The police don't pull me over, nobody points and no one thinks I'm smoking. What could be better?

I feel like if i had something bigger then a normal cigarette. my cravings wouldn't get met quite as well. Just sayin.

My experience was that when I was hitting it and finding a dead battery 8 to 10 times a day, my cravings were a lot worse. Getting a battery that only needed to be changed once a day helped a lot.

Some folks care a whole lot more about what others might be thinking than you do.

Im not one of them, I actually agree with you Mickey

But I am working on myself that it might be more important to others, than it is to me.

For me... I want what works, what worked for me ( so far ) is bigger than a standard eGo, it is an eGo with a 1000 mah battery, a mega cylinder atomizer and a mega cartridge ( and yes it looks like a cigar ). But I don’t care what it looks like, it want it to work for me ( which it does ) all day long, all night long, and well into the next day without charging, and without constantly topping off.

However I need to be more sensitive to those that what it looks like is really really important to them. I ended up buying my daughter a standard 510 for exactly that reason… cause it was really REALLY important to her that it not look as big as mine does.

That's a decent kit, DJ. Only thing I'd mention is to be *very* careful when you refill the cartomizers. A drop of juice into the little hole in the battery will kill it. (The "manual" batteries don't have that hole, and since you have to push the button, you can control your hit better.) But its a very good product. And you can get "extras" and spare parts very reasonably priced.

I've read about refilling with a syringe. Is that the ideal method in this case?

PS. Ill be refilling the used cartomizers for the time being. They were out of blanks. But I did order a 10ML bottle of kamel juice

Well. for whatever reason BLU wouldn't accept my credit card. So i decided to order one of these
KR808D1 Starter Kit - AUTO Switch

Did i make a bad choice?

The model you chose is an excellent one. I havent ordered carts from MVS in a long time. Once he started stocking the 808's I ordered some carts. The 555 tasted like crap. Like, so bad, that I couldnt use them. He also changed the flavor of his 555 juice. I finally went back to my regular carto vendor, and found a new juice supplier. Im back to happy.

cigeasy.com for batteries and carts

goodprophets.com for awsome PG juice that isnt thick or too sweet.

Sorry, but thats simpy not true. I've been using 808's since DAY ONE (2yrs ago). I've accidentally dropped juice into dozens of batteries. The only thing thats killed any of mine, is a bad drop, or a trip down a wooden staircase.
That said, one does have to be very carefull. You certainly dont want to make a habit of getting juice in the battery. But generally, an accidental drip isnt going to kill it.

No matter what, the kr808-D is a great choice, especially for beginners.

I dont think its an "attitude". I think its personal preference. While you are correct that most people dont like smokers, I think more people dont like "smokers" who are "smoking" some huge contraption.

I get looks while using my white battery kr808-d with an orange tip! People notice that its bigger than a cigarette. I do now own a go-go. It hasnt replaced my 808's.

I simply dont wish to draw MORE attention to myself. Thats my personal preference. Thats great in your case that no one hassels you, and the police dont pull you over. Some folks, myself included, dont want to invite the possibility.

Personal preference.. not an attitude. ;)

I'm glad you've been so fortunate. Others haven't been quite so lucky. The hole is, as far as I know, open access to the switch. It's easy to see how juice can short or, in other ways, damage it. I've never had an ego tank leak either, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
