This forum, YouTube and the group on reddit are excellent resources and I applaud the community as a whole for being largely supportive. You folks inspired me to kick my 5 or so cigs a night habit and try vaping instead. So far so good.

My plan for now is to find a good kr808 kit for me and my wife to get started with. I can picture my gadget-nerdness eventually leading me to mods but I am going to start with something simpler and less confusing.

From what I've read it looks like there are a few good choices. Any thoughts on Halo?

I'll be lurking around for awhile. Keep up the good vibes here.

I was smoking about the same or less when I started and Halo's G6 worked for me.

welcome Halo is a bit pricy if you ask me $20 for 30 ml? and thats there biggest size. Check out Lots Of Vapor retail there $15 for 50ml and you get 40 off your first order so your looking around $8 for 50ml. I hate to see people over pay

In my experience and reading, having a battery at least 650 mah allows a low resistance attomizer, and thus a warmer vapor (and so closer to analog experience)...being broke that led me to making flashlight mods with a single 18650 li-ion battery - super cheap, if not pretty, especially if you can find a used laptop battery pack. all-battery dot com sells a reasonably priced li-ion charger and battery bag (always be safe with re-charging li-ion batteries - which means a good charger that stops charging).

Welcome to ECF! This forum was a huge help getting me started. Everything was a touch confusing starting out.

I don't have juice aficionado status yet, but one of the first juices we picked up was Halo's Torque, and I love it. You know that smell of good pipe tobacco, before you go and ruin it by burning it? It tastes like that, like how you always thought good tobacco should taste.

I haven't tried any others yet (next order!), but I think it's worth a few extra bucks.
