The name's Spencer. been vaping for a few months now, saved from cigarettes forever. I am having a slight issue however, which is what brought me to this forum so i may inquire but, of course, i have to have 5 posts to make a new thread. So, HIYA Time go make 5 posts, or might someone be able to answer my question here?

Okay, well, i just replaced the cotton by myself in my Zenith atomizer on my mod. It tastes HORRIBLE now..i saturated it and it just tastes burnt every pull off it...did i not use the right cotton? What can i do differently? What do i need to do now to make it taste not so horribly burnt? Thanks guys. I appreciate the welcomes and any advice!

i rebuild kanger coils and i use organic cotton bought at drug stores, or walmart haha. ive noticed, if i dont wash my hands before rolling the cotton, i get a horrible taste. the oils are soaked into the cotton. also try dry burning to coil to clean it and check the resistance to make sure the coils are still good. also when firing, look for hot spots. good indication your coil may be burning out.

Oh...perhaps thats it...but i just replaced it a second time after dry burning and washing the coils out with water, then dry burning again, then washing again and i twisted the cotton back in and saturated it, did some fires without pulling to get more saturation and im going to try a pull in a bit.

okay so i had my girlfriend do it and she says its fine but it tastes a bit strong for me after saturating, i just bought this Zenith addy 3 days ago so theres no way it could be burning out already! Could it?

Burnt taste is the result of:
1) wick not saturated properly
2) excessive voltage/wattage (too much heat)
3) chain vaping or excessively long draws
4) hot spots in the coil build
