I agree with you about customer service, but my definition of great customer service isn't fancy packaging or freebies.

As I stated before - 2 different things.
But overall its first the website - then the shipping - packaging - then the product and all along communication and customer service.
The packaging is just a side not but an important element.
It's the communication and culture that killed it for me in the end!
The juice will be greatly missed once I run out though!
Are you still taliking about HHV ?
I was getting the impression that overall, you liked them.
When Gandalf steeps it turns into the infamous "Cherrydalf". A very deep rich cherry flavor comes out after a two week steep. With dark horse it doesn't change much other than it sweetens up and has a nice natural honey banana taste(to me at least).
B&B is actually on my order list for next time!
I want to try The Plume Room soon too! The Cavendish review that Robin did made me want it bad! Now! he he he
So the cocoa dissapears? I cant even imagine what it will be! Cocoa is all i taste now so I swapped over to dark horse.
Is Gandalf a cameleon like AiV's White Rabbit?
I've got about 5mls of Gandalf (started as a 30ml bottle) that is pushing 2.5 months, and it doesn't have a hint of cherry to it at all, and never has. I have yet to get any of this Gandalf that has any cherry flavor or aroma to it...
Hmm. That's a first. Heather obviously doesn't put any cherry in it. With nets different flavors tend to come out but it depends of how long the extraction was, the tobacco used, and many other factors. But out of everyone I have talked to both in person and on the forums, they all agree that a cherry note comes out of gandalf after steeping, hence the nickname cherrydalf. YMMW
Different people perceive the sweetness in it...well, differently. Some say cherry. I didn't, but it was verrry good, regardless. I actually liked Legend (formerly known as Gandalf) in the early weeks, the best. Thought it was great right out of the mailbox, in fact. Still very good regardless of how old it was.
Precisely.
I experience a similar situation with Dark Horse. Everyone said it tasted "Just like a marlboro light". I only tasted honey and tobacco. Not that I expect any juice to taste like burning paper and tobacco but I tasted a really sweet honey tobacco.
Are you talking about "Gandalf 1"? I have only tried the current G blend and Serindipity. I am interested in trying the original version(or the "Grey").![]()
I'm talking about the current Legend (formerly known as Gandalf). They have changed the names of some of their juices. No longer using LOTR character names for legal reasons. I have never tried their original Legend (formerly known as original Gandalf).
Yeah - I am sure I will try many more.
The juice is great! Was just a bit dissapointed with the presentation of the product. The bottles, lables, plain ugly yellow envelope and lack of any samples or note. (even a 1.5ml sample would have been something to make me smile and feel *special*warm*fuzzy*
But I guess all that doesn't matter once the delicious juice is in the tank.
It just misses the opportunity to wow the customer from the moment it arrives and even though the product is fabulous it won't be as exciting to receive as a fanceejuice or aliceinvapeland delivery. The appearance just lacks love and care. But the product definatly not. Its fantastic.
It's just that we vapers tend to turn into little kids at christmas when we finally receive our deliveries - especially when we have to wait around 2 weeks if you live in Australia like me - and the little things make ALL the difference!
I know, it is sad. it all came down at a time when they have been so busy with new customers, too. Having to fret about a C&D order regarding the names and changing the website, labels and whatever else had to be quite an undertaking in such a short time. Same great premium juice at reasonable prices, though. Say what you will about fancy packaging and famous names, you can't vape packaging and names but you can vape the great juice.

After a while, you'll have a collection of amber and glass bottles from other vendors you can re-use.
It depends on taste but for me and everyone else I know the chocolate turns into a sweet dark tobacco. I am much like you in the sense that I like Gandalf unsteeped and steeped. I always vape it fresh.
and it certainly is a cameleon. I actually haven't tried WR yet but I literally just placed an order for it today. Now I am even more excited to hear it changes upon aging.
