I've been lurking and reading threads on and off for about a year now so hopefully I can finally get on the best track.

I started dipping moist snuff when I was 10. We thought we were cool like our favorite baseball players. Since then I've started and stopped smoking, dipping and chewing more times than I can count.

Currently going through about one can of Kodiak a day ($150/mo) -if you don't know about that crap, Kodiak is the no filter Camel of the dip/snuff world.

I live about 90 miles from a real city so trying to figure all the vap stuff out online has been a challenge. (Sidenote to the ecig/PV industry-speak in layman's terms!!! You'll gain converts so much faster they'll be planting food where they once planted tobacco side a few years) I know what I want, just can't ever tell if what I'm looking at is it.

So when a friend gave my a Da Vinci after upgrading her dry herb PV I gave it a shot. It comes with "oilcans" you can use with cotton and liquid but getting the temp and TH dialed in is next to impossible. I plan to start another thread on that soon.

Anyway, that's it, ¡hola, Hallå, dia duit, hujambo.

welcome friend,i smoked for 31yrs and chewed many different brands of snuff but copenhagen was my favorite for about 10yrs. the internet is the best tool for us vapers to see all the different products, reviews and how to vids and did i say how to vids, man there are so many different ways to do things. do yourself a favor and check out p busardo, grimm green, rip trippers and my new favorite vaping with twisted 420 on utube, anything you want to know is at your finger tips! good luck and vape on!

Welcome! I was a kodiak guy as well for the past 2 years since I quit smoking. I have not had a dip or cig going on 3 months since I got my first ego starter kit. I agree that the ecig lingo is pretty confusing and there's so much stuff out there it's overwhelming. Slowly but surely I'm catching on and I'm sure you will too, just keep reading this forum. Lots of info and good people here!

Never got into the snuff scene but have been around it my whole life. The Marlboro man was my hero for many years! I congratulate you on your choice and you will thank yourself in a few weeks. There is so much to learn and hear over these threads it will send your head spinning at first. I found the folks here very helpful and knowledgeable! I started with my first setup a a very little while ago and have not wanted nor had the urge to pick up a cig since. There are many who have the same testimony here. All i can say is that once you kick the tobacco all together, your body will thank you ten-fold! Mine did. It is still adjusting but I feel so much better that I can't explain it. The only regret I have today is that I didn't find this sooner. Could have saved myself a ton of money and hurt. Keep after it and VAPE ON!

Welcome to the forum! I think all here will agree it can be a ridiculous amount of stuff to learn. The terminology alone will make your head spin. Although the members here are usually very helpful. If you aren't sure about what something is or the purpose it serves just ask. Also, watching youtube videos is a great way to learn. Most of the reviewers and video host do a fairly good job of explaining what is going on. Pbusardo would be one of my favorites as his videos are generally very professional and informative.

Nowadays' I watch his videos just to pass the time. He's a pretty funny guy. Anyway, stick around a while and all of this will begin to make sense. One last thing, there is quite a bit of 'fiddling' required for this. It's just something you will need to get used to (and maybe even enjoy).

Thanks everyone. Sounds like i tried the same thing about 2 yrs ago Mturner - using dip to quit smoking. But since I've been able to dip at the office I've ramped the habit up even more.

I picked up some juices from Mt Baker, just need to hit send once I know what pg/vg combo is best for oil cans. Tearing open blu cartomizers right now and reloading into the Da Vinci oilcan may be half my problem. 100% worthless disposables and Blu refills are all I can find around here.

If that fails, I'm going to tackle the one word that still drives me nuts -"MOD", watch some vids and go for some real gear. Probably end up tossing the Da Vinci in the junk drawer and maybe pull it out on that special day in mid-late April.
