Hi everyone, complete noob here. I bought my first e-cig last week and went with an eRoll. It's been wonderful up until tonight. No matter what I do, it taste burned and awful and made me entirely sick to my stomach. I cleaned everything out and put it back together, no luck. I switched batteries, no luck. Cleaned out all 3 cartridges it came with and refilled, no luck. Replaced (and primed) the 2nd atomizer it came with, no luck. The guy at DFW Vapor that sold it to me told me the atomizers should last about a month, and I haven't even had this for a full week yet, and I'm really not using it heavily.

An additional (but lesser) problem I'm having is one of the batteries doesn't fit very well into the other piece.

Any ideas why it tasted burnt no matter what I do? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

ETA: The liquid is disappearing quickly. I have no idea where it's going because the vapor just tasted burned. It's like it's disappearing into an abyss since the problem started tonight.

Same juice I've been using for the past week - caramel macchiato from DFW Vapor. I have no idea what the ratio is, I've just been using whatever is in that bottle. I've tried a few hits of a sampler pack I got from 2 sample packs I bought from Vaping Zone. Like I said, I'm a noob. The guy at the store didn't tell me anything about ratios or potential problems with changing juice. I had no idea there was such a large e-cig following like I found here, this is nuts and pretty cool :) I guess I should have done more research before I jumped in.

I'm not familiar with the eRoll as I think it's a newer Joye product. It looks like it functions like their tank systems (atty has a spike which perforates the tank). If so, the wick inside the spike may be fit too tightly. Take a VERY THIN needle and stick it down through the center of the wick spike being careful not to push the wick down. You just want to drive that needle through the center of the wick which should give it a little more flow. Honestly, those tank systems from Joyetech are finicky at best. You'll be better off buying an ego twist battery and cartos or tanks like the Vivi Nova in the future. In the time being, try what I suggested if it's possible. A safety pin is too large for this. Get a really thin sewing needle to do the trick.

Howdy,

One of the issues that you may be facing is shorting out coils. Its not an easy thing to diagnose in a carto and the only way to really tell is pull it apart ( usually results in the destruction of the cartomizer). I'd say replace the cartomizer if you can, its a realtivly cheap part to replace and will save you from the dry burned taste of E-Juice.
If you continue to experience issues and provided that this isn't an APV you can test the battery output volatage, most run at 3.7 to 4.1 fully charged, anything above this may indicate a short in the battery or mod.
Hope this helps out a bit.

If you read what he said.....its an atomizer/cart not a cartomiser

Wow that must be something new. I haven't seen one of those before. Does the juice delivery part fit inside it? Usually those plastic atomizer cartridges aren't worth a crap and don't last very long.
Its just a cigalike like a volt, nothing fancy. It uses cartotanks just the same...nothing high tech about it, just has a 20 minute battery run time and is light in your hand like an analog.

The eroll is a very new Joye product. Neat little unit for short term use. It uses a drip tank and atty similar to the eGo-c but is much smaller. Challenge is parts are difficult to order for it right now. Mt Baker Vapor is selling them now and I just ordered one to have for times when small and light are wanted. You might call James at Mt Baker and see if he has better ideas. He is using one and says they work well. I don't see these being a daily goto ecig but more for the time when you want something small to take into the club.

Is it the starter kit with the pcc from dfw vapers? I was looking at their site.

Yes that's what I bought.

I'm concerned because there is a new place doing a pre-opening very close to me tomorrow, and they have the eRoll kits half off for $39.99 tomorrow only. I'm bring my husband and our 2 friends up there to get them a starter kit because they all like the one I bought. I'm concerned that if mine is crapping out after a week then what's going to happen to theirs? I'm disappointed, because I've loved this think for a week now and read mostly good reviews of it online after I bought it.

Everyone wants one of the cig-alike types when they first start but they are really not that good. I would at least go back where you got it and see what they can do with it. Looks like their prices are pretty high on equip also. You can do better online. Sorry wish I could help more. You need something like this http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/sk36.htm?Click=391
