Hi,

I really need some advice. I have been doing some research. I THINK I want to buy a kayfun lite possibly, a plus with a stainless tank if possible. What is the difference? I want to get a smoketech kit for the control which is offered at a bargain price for three holders and a couple of batteries one largest and one smallest. I also need a Multi-functional 3.7V Charger. I think I want 30ml Menthol e-liquid - 24mg. I know I need some other bits. Maybe more liquid and wick and maybe some resistance wire.

Am I going to be buying good gear or am I making a mistake.

Many thanks Chris.

I fear I am too late. :(

Just to say....in all honesty, and not mucking around. I have a SID and I love it. BUT, it's a bargain basement type of mod for Kayfun or Taifun.

I have used both on my SID, but only on standard resistance set-ups. (1.5/1.8/2.0ohms).

On low resistance set-ups, I am afraid it's time for Mr Mechanical. :)

Hi djsvapour,

Yes you are right. That is exactly the kit. It looks excellent value for money.

My experience of vaping is pretty limited. I had an e cigarette for about 2 months. It really didn't cut the mustard! My friends have all got kanger pro tanks. New Year and I thought if I want to give up smoking then I need to get some decent kit to replace it, something small enough to take with me but big enough to do the job well. With plenty of customisation available.

Your thoughts on the kit I have selected?

Mechanical just means no electronic parts. Besides a battery of course. Just a button that activates the Vaporizer and your vapin! No led screen just one button to satisfy your needs. Personally I prefer VV because you can always change your wattage/volts on the go to match your juice or tank so u don't burn coils/wicks or get the taste of Satan's rear in every hit. Check out some innokin box mods or a kamry k 200 it's small enough to through in your pocket and gets the job down with variable volts. Look into some telescoping mods so you can go from large to small depending on what your doing

Well, there are lots of choices. The SID is a BIG e-cig. You can get the same vapour with a Vision Spinner, just not the same battery life.
A Spinner lasts me a day (using nothing else) but I use SID or MVP at home, so 2-3 days normally.
Or, there is the iTaste VV.

Have a look

do you get on youtube and watch reviews of devices? i have been watchin Rip Trippers and Grimmgreen on youtube fro a while now and the share alot of info and insite into diffrent devices. i bought me a telescoping mechanical mod and a couple of 18650vtc4 batteries and an atomic rda. i love it. i have a dragon nano coil setup on it right now, wow does it produce the vapor. if you are goin into rda's you might want to drop the nic level down cause they hit harder. my atomic on just a single nano coil was nockin the back of my throat out with with just 12mg nic and i smoked marlbroro reds for 15 years or so.

i have a #19 sigelei telescope tube with #8 caravella head and switch from fatdaddyvapes and it hits hard, $36 something shipped. people say a magneto hits hard too for just $39 at trianglevape. my set up will hold a 18650 and a evolv kick or kick2, but the magneto wil;l only accept a 18490 or 18500 and a kick or kick 2.

Hi all,

I am going for Kayfun lite plus and changed my mind and going for vamos 5 at the moment. Is this a good combination my fellow vapouorists? :vapor: Is it a combination that works well?

What's the largest size battery I can fit in a vamos 5? I'll get two. Djsvapour mentioned Nitecore chargers. Does anyone else have suggestions for me to check out?

Many thanks, Chris.

Yes a vamo 5 and kayfun lite + will get you there, a great start for rebuilding.

Umm, disagree with this, a spinner will not give one the same vape as an SID or a Vamo., itaste VV 3 would be a step up from a spinner, but still not in the same class as a Vamo or SID.

That would be like saying a moped is the same as a Scooter is the same as a V-twin Cruiser. Yeah the all have two wheels and a motor, but they do Not produce the same ride/vape. Now if you want a Sports bike, that would be a DNA30 or a High end Mechanical mod. lol

OK, so point taken. Clearly my comment was not put in context.

The o.p. asked for "something small enough to take with me but big enough to do the job well"

I realise once you are talking big RBAs then clearly a Spinner is no use. It just annoys me people buying evics and vamos then putting a protank on top and vaping at 8 watts. If you are going to do that, you may as well get a basic eGo VV.

Not to start an argument, but based on my experience, I have to disagree with your disagreement. I'm new to the site, but I've been vaping for 8 months now. I have both Vision Spinners and a Vamo v3, and use stock clearomizers. When the settings are the same, the vape is just about identical on both devices.

Juice: Awesome Vapor 100% PG Pineapple, V8P Bar 70/30 Banana, Elite 50/50 Watermelon
Tank: Kanger ProTank 2 and T3S using stock 2.2 coil
Vision Spinner set to 4.3v
Vamo v3 (with 18650 battery) set at 4.3v at 8w

The advantage of using the Vamo over the Spinner is you get more control over the volt and watt settings, and the 18650 battery lasts MUCH longer. When the settings are the same, and the tank and juices are the same, the vapor production, flavor, and throat hit are identical.

Like I said, though, this is just my experience. Some of us like the convenience of clearomizers, and don't want the hassle of rebuilding coils all the time. I got the Vamo for more control of my vape, and I'm completely satisfied with it, even with off the shelf clears and coils. Me, I'm just happy to be able to say I am analog free.

You've got some amazing kit in there.

Two or three thoughts. How experienced a vaper are you....especially with making RBA builds?

and, you can go higher on the batteries... I use 3,400s in my Vamo and SID.

The i2 is great... everybody slags it off for only having 2 slots, but I have one and, hell, what do I need 4 for? :)

I don't use ekowool; never got on with it t.b.h. too slow to wick. I use plain Silica.

Hi djsvapour and everyone else,

I am glad you approve. I have been studying this stuff hard for days along with your help. I have checked the UK outlets it's cloud9 and my epack who are the only suppliers of this kit in stock at the moment. It has taken a lot of effort to research and sort. I have chosen the kayfun as it has a stainless tank. The vamo 5 because you can change the voltage etc.

I am not experienced at RBA builds but I soon will be. I am in electrician so none of the stuff they are showing on the videos on u tube looks at all difficult. I expect I will make the odd mistake.

I don't do things by half. I cannot see the point in buying kit that is not good enough. Just get what you need to do the job done proper!

By the way I am on the verge of ordering. The only thing I am thinking of changing is ekowool, I think I am going to use cotton wool it looks easier to swap out on the wick in all the videos and everyone says the taste is better.

Thoughts everyone.

Many, many thanks, Chris.
