Hi all nice forum you got here.

Need some help with a starter kit. Just ordered loads of junk of ebay (didn't think it was junk at the time until I did some research)

Its a jungle out there with all the stuff you can buy so came here for some help on what to get. Looking for a good starter kit, something not too expensive 40-60 bucks.

Been looking at this Kanger EVOD Starter Kit is it any good or should i go with something else.

Hello & welcome BaDaBooM :)

You really do have to be careful buying anything e-cig related via ebay - they prohibited the sale of all e-cig related items over 4 years ago. Therefore, any seller listing them could get the listings removed & banned at any time.

The Kanger Evod kit you have linked to is a good kit & from a very good UK vendor. use discount code AAEC for 5% off.

The Evod kit is a great one to start with. If you can, consider some VV twist-type batteries as well. This is a good kit to try:http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm and it is probably the most recommended starter kit here on ECF. It's 9 bucks more than your price range, but that's the cost of a pack of cigs, so totally worth it IMO. Hope this helps. Also, if you budget is strict, go with the Evod kit for sure. I highly recommend buying brand name gear from reputable dealers rather than the knockoff stuff. You really do get what you pay for!

Well you may not want my advice because I've been here literally 10 minutes but I just got my EVOD today and I am loving it so far. I got my starter kit from Vape Dojo and a sample pack of 18mg juice at the same time. Loving the "throat hit" with the Vanilla Latte so far. I did a lot of research before ordering this kit and I am sure I'll want to upgrade at some point but so far this is perfect.

I did try a Trio 51 a few years ago and didn't like it at all. I still have it, sitting in a drawer. So far, the EVOD blows it out of the water. I say go for it!

No, your viewpoint is perfectly valid. Doubly so since you are also a new vaper - if it is working well as a good introduction to vaping for you I can't think of a higher recommendation. We love hearing success stories here.

The Evod starter kit is one of the most recommended kits I've seen in the last few months and is a fine starting point. Even if you do move on to other things the starter kit is still a very useful backup device. It's simple and easy to use - charge battery, fill with liquid, give up smoking

I'm going to keep recommending this kit to anyone asking, can't beat that price! I really hope they ship to Europe, unfortunately I don't know if they do or not.
Enoch777 is spot on with this recommendation. But I can't say a bad word about the Evod, cause it rocks! I just think that you will be looking for an upgrade very quickly due to the short battery life and the lack of features. But on a good note, the Evod tank works great on the MVP and it's pretty sexy on there to boot! Good luck and Happy vaping.

That is an excellent kit. Easy to use, and very effective. Great price as well. The only thing I see missing would be a wall adapter, which you can find here - eGo USB Wall Charging Plugs EU USA

I just don't like the idea of people charging their batteries with their computer's USB ports. If you have a USB hub, that will work as well.

ego variable voltage battery 900mah LCD screen stainless steel What about this ??

Lots of things i don't understand too, was looking at this kit and it says

Information:
But EVOD's bottom coil head and metal base is detachable, so it will be less expensive to replace a coil.
when the coil head dies, you can keep the metal base and replace only the mini coil head.
Each EVOD clearomizer can hold 1.6ml e-liquid (Please do not overfill)

Don't really understand do you have buy metal bases with other models to replace the coil. Id like to get a kit that is cheap to run, one of the main reasons I quit smoking is the cost :)

The one thing I don't like about that kit is the CE4 clearomizer it comes with, which are inferior to the EVOD clearomizer that is included with the Kanger EVOD kit. The VV function is also limited, and not worth the extra money in my opinion. Stick with the Kanger EVOD, which is regulated at 3.7V, and should suit your needs just fine. You can always pick up an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner battery, which can be charged with the charger that is included with the EVOD kit. That should be a good way to try out variable voltage without breaking the bank. You can also use the EVOD clearomizer on it, as well.

Vision Spinner - http://www.ukecigcabin.com/product/spinner-650

As for the detachable base that you are reading about, this applies to the OLD design of the coils where the coil was permanently attached to the base, so you had to change out the whole thing. The new coil heads that you will receive with your kit will be the new design, which separates the base and the coil. You keep the base and replace the coil. They also include 5 extra coils in the kit, so no worries there.
This is the replaceable coil - Kanger EVOD BCC COIL HEADS
This is the reusable base - Kanger EVOD BCC Base

Here is an example of the old design, which is all one piece, and therefore costs more to replace - http://www.myvaporstore.com/Atomizer_Head_for_Kanger_T3_MT3_p/krt3-ah.htm

Thamks for the info, from what I have gathered from your post maybe this is better kit to start with Vision Spinner Evod 1300 Kit Black ??

Its got the "twist" and Kanger Evod bottom coil clearomizer (rebuildable) or have I got it all wrong ?? Feeling so stupid at the moment

No, I don't like that kit. It comes with only one Spinner battery and EVOD, and the other battery is a regular eGo, and the clearomizer is an eGo CE4clearomizer. No good.

Don't feel stupid. This stuff can be very overwhelming for people who are new to it, as there are so many choices and so much to learn. That is why we are here to help as much as we can. You are definitely on the right track. :toast:
