I have been vaping for about 4 months. Finding it fun. I love gadgets. Currently have 1- ego style battery 2- EV Cigarettes variable volts 3- Ego T 4- Itaste vv and 5- Vision Spinner. also have 2 or 3 Kanger T3S tanks, a nautilus Mini and kanger Mini protank 3

I have so much to learn. Getting all caught up in the VV and mah and volts and burnt taste etc.

I enjoy forums as it is such a great way to learn. Looking forward to more with you all.

Hello Sandra, and welcome to the league of... I mean ECF!

Beginner vapers often get caught up in those things, and it is quite a lot of information to digest at once.

VV/VW means you have a much greater adjustability to accommodate your coil. This is generally determined by Ohm's Law, but if you don't want to do the math yourself, google "Ohm's Law Calculator", plug in the values, and it'll do the number crunching for you.

mAh, or milli-amp hours, is an indicator of how a battery discharges at a constant rate over time, which to us vapers, is a relative measurement indicating how long a battery will last. The bigger the number, the longer it'll last.

The more important value to look at for batteries is the amp continuous discharge value, which is the maximum number of Amps a battery can safely handle without going boom, but with regulated mods like yours, this shouldn't be an issue. If you decide to take the leap of faith and dive into mech mods, rebuildables, and sub-ohm vaping and/or cloudchasing, this is the holy grail of safety.

A burnt taste in a VV/VW mod means that you're pushing too much power through the coil and the atomizer can't handle it. Too much power (wattage, which by ohms law, mean voltage as well), and the coil gets too hot, evaporating all the eliquid so fast that the wick cannot feed it more liquid fast enough, burning the wick and giving that awful taste. At reasonable settings, a burnt taste will never happen until the coil has expired and has gone bad, indicating you either need to rebuild it or get a new one.

Hope this helps clarify something. As always, feel free to ask more! The more you ask, the more we can help.

Cheers!

Hi Sandraw this place has been a real help to me.
I am sure by reading posts and getting advice in here I have gone to what by myself would have taken months to figure out.

One help of entering the vaping world now is that other people have done the hard yards for you.

Though personal preference etc still factors into things.
