Hi All, I'm so new to this, just started vaping today. I'm verging 40, smoking since I'm 13 and have lung issues for about 15 yrs. Had a bad bout with Pneumonia two days before Thanksgiving and could not get better. I was told yesterday I have the start of COPD, so I must stop smoking even though it's like my best friend. So far, it's been different, trying to get use to the taste and how to use it, but it keeping the major cravings down. It's been 32 hrs since my last regular cigarette, I'm praying this gets easier and I'm very happy I've found this forum. :toast:

Absolutely it gets easier. You're not unlike a bunch of us here in that you feel like...

"Oh... hey. I'm vaping. Now what?!"

I can say that when I started vaping, I didn't really have any intention of quitting. It just kind of happened. It may take some tweaking to get used to, and you may cave and have an analog every once in a while, but little victories also count. There's a pretty solid support group here, so you're in good company.

If you haven't seen them yet, I'd strongly suggest taking a peek at Mistress Nomad's videos here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html

If nothing else, it may prove to make you feel like you actually made a pretty good decision.

Congrats, good luck, and -- most importantly -- WELCOME!

Welcome! There are quite a few us in our first week- myself included. It has gotten a little easier- not too much right now though. Hoping it will be better after this first initial week. Just keep trudging away. And like so many others will say- if it gets real bad- it is OK to light up an analog. I am doing my darnedest to fight that urge myself only because I don't know if I will stop :) So keep your chin up!

Exactly right! I had absolutely no intention of quitting when I got mine. My guy convinced me to get one (and I felt bad smoking analogs around him since it made him want analogs too) and I instantly quit. I'll admit I finished off my last 5 and then slipped up and had another 3 after, but that's it! That's how easy it is of a transition. :)
