Hi everyone. Just come in to say hi. I come from SG and have been smoking (almost a pack day) for the last 15 years. I have never tried vaping but would like to give this a try now and hopefully can help me quit smoking for good. Hopefully i can get some clues on where to start as unfortunately I have no idea at all how to do this from where i come from

We have a sub-forum for SG vapers, so that will be a good place for you to touch base with people in a similar situation: SG Vapers
Once you get your 5 newbie posts out of the way you'll be able to post in there. In the mean time, if you have any questions about vaping in general just ask away! There are plenty of knowledgeable members here ready to help answer

Welcome to ECF!

Hello and welcome to the forum desmondk07. Glad to have you here!:)

Purchasing anything e-cig related is very difficult in Singapore due to your laws. Do you know anyone who vapes?

Check out this forum: SG Vapers. Make sure you read all the "stickies". You will not be able to post there until you have your first 5 posts and the server updates at :25 past the hour.

If you need help in getting in your 5 posts, continue posting in this thread or just go out and welcome some of the other new members posting in the "New Member" Forum.

Nope unfortunately dont know anyone who vapes in my circle of friends. Funny thing is i haven't actually seen people doing it in open areas here but i know there are so they must be super discrete to avoid getting caught. Its a fine country. Yup i know the sg vaper forum but i dont get much info reading through the threads so guess i might need to get to know someone personally first.

to ecf desmondk07. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here because this is the place that has all the reliable information on vaping that you will need and a group of people here that are all in your corner. Vaping is awesome and let me tell you it is the only thing that I have tried that actually worked for me. I did both for a while and just slowly quit enjoying smoking and quickly started loving vaping. The transition was really too easy for me.

Considering I was fighting a 40 some year addiction. So you know it works and it is fun and it tastes so amazing compared to a cigarette. Do you get the idea I love vaping? Good luck to you and I look forward to reading more about you and your successful vaping. Make yourself at home.

Howdy,

I'd say start slow and read up, especially if there are laws in your area that may prevent you from getting some equipment. Since I'm not well versed in them I'd say find someone locally that does vape and ask them questions as they will be an invaluable resource in finding gear and juice.
Also stay away from some of the advanced techniques such as sub ohm and rebuild-able atomizer systems until you get your feet wet a little bit, this also leads me to the next topic of don't let folks bully you in to getting this or that. Find methods and equipment that your comfortable with handling, a good rule of thumb is "If I have no one to help, can I repair it and or replace the atomizer head myself". Typically you'll find your clearomizers and Ego style mods easy to replace parts in with minimal fiddling, also they do work wonderfully with the advancements in the market, Aspire tank systems come to mind for ease of use and user friendly. Do your reading and research, your in the right place for that and there is more then enough information on ECF to get you started in the right direction.

Welcome and please ask anything on your mind, were happy to help out.

Welcome :)
