Hi Stella, welcome to the forum. Excellent choice to start vaping. Did you try any vaping gear yet, or do you have an idea what you'd like to use?

Take your time to read here before jumping in. Many folks will buy a vape kit and end up disappointed then come here to find out how to improve the experience. Reading and asking questions will hopefully make your transition go a bit smoother. There are many choices available, and you can get started a very reasonable price by starting our with simple but solid hardware to start.

Welcome @Stella Bhal

Quitting smoking with e-cigs is not a 'given' but I tell you... it's getting easier as the technology gets better year after year.

Sadly, unless you ask people who actually vape, the chances are you will get ripped off in the UK with a bad e-cig for a crazy price from the businessmen who like to control the e-cig sales in the UK.

Most of the products you see in the supermarkets and general stores are a waste of time and money.

I spent over £500 on some appalling products sold in Sainsburys and Morrisons (do you have them in Saffron Waldon?) because most of those products are total junk and ineffective for most smokers.

£500, still smoking?!

THIS forum helped me out and I'd quit within 2 weeks of buying a proper e-cig.

You might want to start with a device that's easy to operate, with decent vape-production, like the Joyetech eGo Aio which is a popular affordable starterkit, or something with a tighter draw like the Innokin endura T18. If you want something larger, the Eleaf iJust might be for you. The eGo One is an excellent device, or get the bigger eGo One Mega.

Welcome Stella! I was hoping that BrotherBob would answer you and I just see he did. Good reading!
I quit smoking just about three years ago by vaping after 40+ years. It took a few weeks but truthfully it was relatively easy. Wish I had come by this a long time ago.
Best of luck to you as you begin your vaping journey.
