Hi, from the UK.
Joined to peruse the mixology section- looking for an old Vanilla Custard recipe and hints on something new.
Don't know..I'm thinking Dragonfruit and ???

Been vaping since 2013, gave up smoking the same day and have never sparked up since.
Made my own juice most of that time, my go to ADV is a 70/30 GVC clone with a menthol/boysenberry DL backup

Gone from Provari & Kayfun to sub-tanks, drippers, squonkers- chased flavours and clouds
Haven't bought a new mod or atty for a good 4-5 years now, definitely a fan of Evolve & Steamcrave.
Curernt in-use setups are a Think Vape Finder & Hadron c/w Ragnars and a couple of Invader 3s with Aeronauts.

Getting near time for a new mod as the Hadron has been playing up..was never keen on the YiH board.
As triple 18650 mods are thin on the ground I'm tempted by another dual 21700- Odin 2... the 250C Bogan

Welcome, from Spain, to the ECF.

Forever RDA/squonker and RY4-ish DIY·er here (Hola!) , however I´m a single 18650 mech user, so I´ll leave the heavy lifting to some of the others.

If I remember correctly, GVC, when left to age/steep for a long period would "mature" and color change to black.
Never was a fan of the custards, black or otherwise.

yeah GVC was steeped until it went almost black, iirc a 50/50 mix with higher nicotine levels.
Plenty of air time for the nicotine to oxidize and darken.
Had a few forgotten bottles of DIY testers in the cupboard that 'matured' ..err no.
My VC is often 8-9 months old by the time I get to the bottom of the jug but at 3mg the colour is more like golden syrup.

Never did get a taste for DIY tobacco flavours, tried plenty in the beginning when I was desparate to replace a OH roll-up, unfortunately all I got was the aftertaste and a hint of n-butyric acid from the creams.

Hadrons are famously juice hogs (it’s why they taste so good:more juice) so DIY makes sense. I DIY with single flavors which isn’t the best but is the quickest because if it’s just one flavor you don’t have to be accurate. I just squirt directly into the bottle. No measurement. Just “eye”. If I was after a vanilla custard I would be looking for flavorings actually called “vanilla custard” which probably exist. There are also a bunch of prexmix single flavors with weird names like Boom! Which emulates rocket pops, so mostly blue raspberry with some lemon or Bubba’s pig sap, which is maple bacon (and has a weird burnt rubber aftertaste. I attribute that to the bacon. All the meat flavors have problems.

Haven't purchased readymade juices or concentates with catchy names for a decade.
Don't like bakery, creamy cereal..just plain lazy making a flavour and deciding that it tastes like the milk in the bottom of a cereal bowl.

i make my vaniila custard in 2.5 litre batches..no measuring 250ml, 30ml,60ml,30ml.
10% Vanilla Custard V1 (Capella)
1.2% Bavarian Cream (Capella)
2.4% Dulche de Leche (TFA) replace half with French Vanilla (Cap) if you prefer more vanilla
1.2% Cotton Candy

Hello and welcome! There's a juice from red star vapor called dragon slayer that is peach and dragonfruit. Its one of my favorites. Unfortunately I don't know the recipe but maybe that will be worth exploring?

thank you. I've seen a few Dragon Slayer type clones, mostly blueberry, raspberry or strawb.
don't think I have any peach
I have a few testers steeping already.
Base flavour is my old recipe from a few years ago, testers are at 8%, 10%, 12% with different undertone fruits, the tangerine gives a Starburst zing



Strawberry is the best of the berry flavours, . Black cherry is interesting.
Very moreish dessert vape..vaper's tongue is a possibility

If you’ve got percentages you’re measuring unless you’re using whole bottles. Which would work. I generally buy by the gallon or liter so the amount of finished juice created would be more than i could vape. I do have some 1 0z samplers, but only because buying the samples was actually cheaper than the larger bottles. They were tobaccos. Theres some sort of creepy thing there. It’s normally twice as expensive per ml. or more.

Yeah the maple bacon one has issues. For some reason i like it and keep buying it though. They still make it which implies I’m not the only one.

I understand something may be up with capella from another post BTW. Not sure though.

Quite simple to tailor the finished quantity to the purchase amount +/- a couple of millilitres at 2500 is nothing. Larger the batch lower the error.

Yes, must be an older post, a quick search came up with a Capella sale and old stock?

Unfortunately we don't get the US sized bottles of Capella, unless 13ml allare l are rebottled and commonly sold in 10ml, 30ml and 250 ml.
US Gallons? Litres?
Oooof the price differences.US 16oz (470ml) $39,(£27) v UK 500ml $67 (£50)

Did have a supply about 10 years ago, but Capella decided the group buy was a commercial sale not private.
The result shipping, duty and taxes made it inviable.

It was a newer post, but from another country. I haven’t bought cappella in a while so I had no data. If they’re fine in the US they’re fine in the US though. That price thing may be import duty. Inwara is polish or something. Flavorwest US as is flavor jungle. I don’t know where FA is based. Might help. Might not. I don’t know of any British flavorings off hand. Might be some. US duties have been wild since since don taco became president.
