It's just common sense really. I say crank it up until it burns the back of your throat, then go down one watt. It's like anything else - taking medicine, you figure out your maximum dosage by finding out what will kill you and and then go down one. Motorcycles? You figure out how fast you can go speeding down the highway until the front wheel starts to shimmy and then you go down 1 mph. Jumping without getting hurt - you go up each rung of a very tall ladder and jump off at each step until you break your leg, then go down one (when the busted leg heals). Spending time in prison? You hit consecutively larger and larger inmates with a chair until you don't knock one out and the don't mess with anyone you can't knock out. Jumping over the White House fence and running towards the White House screaming in Arabic? Jump over and figure out how far you can get before you get shot or tasered. That's how far you can run and then jump back over the wall to safety.

I had a 22 gauge dual coil Kanthal build at .36 ohm in my Velocity on my Snow Wolf for a while. With the big air hole half closed, it was a cool vape at 200 watts. But, the SW pulses over 150 watts, so you don't get a constant 200 watts. It was about the same at 150, which was constant. It took over 100 watts to get the flavor rolling, I usually ran it at about 130. Either way, it would drain the juice well and dry the wicks in 3 hits.
