Honestly the longest video review I have ever watched, but I could see how it has so much stuff to cover you needed that much time. Is this made out of steel or aluminum?

hi mate,

yeah, this is the longest review i have ever done...........couldnt believe it when i realised it was 28 minutes long! lol

according to the website it is "high quality food grade stainless steel with satin finish"

cheers

Good video. Have to say I would not be happy with that mod for the money. Even without the build quality issues, I don't think I could put up with that menu system.

I agree. 210Ds should get you something that doesn't require a university education to operate, as well as something that doesn't look like it was put together by a fifth grade metalwork student. For that money i'd be wanting it without the faults. The batteries going in the wrong way is a big neg too, so easy for a novice to mess it up jmo
If Imeo can do it, so can they.

Let be honest here, this thing is cheaper by a 100 bucks than a GGTS with UFS, and provides multi voltage capabilities...something no GG does.

edit: I should say variable voltage capabilities as with different batteries you can change voltage on a GG...a feature that is found in most mods capable of taking more than one battery configuration.

That's either a hefty dose of sarcasm, ignorance or one bitter kobold, lol. I don't think you can really compare a tank with a pin hole at the bottom to a UFS? The feed systems just don't compare in terms of design or function. The UFS is an amazing piece of engineering, fully adjustable draw and liquid control, a collector tank and it's far easier on the eyes. Comparing the two feed systems is like comparing a Porsche to a Toyota and wondering why it costs more, it's a bit absurd my friend, and it really brings into question your objectivity.

I do love the added functionality of the Precious' VV, but the tank design is really nothing special IMO. It's a pretty device with some innovative features but between the delays, craftsmanship and communication issues I'd say it fell a bit flat in terms of execution.

Actually I can compare a 2 part tank to a 12 part tank, because they both supply liquid to a heating element. Whether or not one looks better than the other will of course be a matter of opinion I think some will like the smooth lines of this set up and some will like the bulbous knurled look of the other. You can't of course just compare the two feed systems because they are both dependent on owning the device they run on and neither work with a gooseneck, so you have to look at the whole setup. The Precious line offers a touch sensitive button, on and off features, variable voltage, and a sealed battery compartment...The GG line offers a mechanical button, locking feature, and big batteries, and better availability on both new and used products. One cost 200 bucks one cost 300 bucks...

...neither of them have all wheel drive..

..I don't know why everyone always wants to bring up car analogies...

the Precious i purchased does have its obvious faults (as shown in the vid) but in its defence the JD does work really well even though its design is extremely simple

to be honest, i would love to see imeo make a similar JD that would fit the GGTB. the GGTB is a great budget device that still has a great quality about it, and the addition of a simple and inexpensive JD like the one the Precious uses would be a fantastic addition! :D

cheers

There's more to it than looks, I think I specifically mentioned draw and juice controls which are what add complexity, and complexity adds price...

I can't stress enough how important those controls are, especially if you use anything other than thin PG. I'd be interested to know what type of juice was used on the JD test, it would seem to me that a thicker VG based juice would have a hell of a hard time flowing through that pin hole:) I vape a few different juices with different viscosities and different juice feeding setups (bottom fed, tank fed, etc), dialing them in properly is key to avoid over or underfeeding the atty. I guess if you'e never used one you may not see the value. The point of the analogy was simply to underline that fact that with added features, performance and complexity, comes added cost...

I do agree about the car analogies - way too many lately. How about watches, Tag vs Swatch?

Hey Scott,

Thanks for your informative review.

That is some old info on the Precious site, based on the never built for sale "U". For the Lv2, they opted for aluminum with a 'food grade foil' coating. I was a bit on the fence with that since aluminum imparts a flavor/oxidation to the juice but, for me, I have not experienced anything like that over the past few weeks.

No comment on weight? The thing is mad light.

Also, those batts you used in the vid are the reason you got a dent on them. The blue ultrafires measure in at 37~38mm instead of the labeled 35. I have found no dents on the AW's and XSL batts that replaced them.

Cheers

I think that someone that had both would have to answer that one because it has to be a close call. The precious has the disadvantage of stacked batteries that are 750mah(if you use the hd aw 18350s) which are recommended and the provari has the disadvantage of using booster technology with an aw hd 1600mah battery(recommended) both of those things will shorten the length of the charge so I would be curious to know as well.

Great review as always Scott

as far as consistancy and accuracy with voltage....does it compare with the provari? Which device would last longer in terms of battery run time....the precious or provari?
