hey guys, am from malaysia as well and been vaping for 2 weeks. best of all havent touch cigarette since!! pretty disappointed with the negative report on e cig from our 'beloved' government. they're claiming e cig leads to chronic disease...pretty lame justification i would say.

Misleading information. They haven't been around long enough to know the long term effects they might have. Does that make them 100% healthy? No but they are 1000% better than cigarettes in my personal opinion.

Hi Silent Scream

I think there are trying to find way to "regulate" the sales of e-cig.

malaysia is the tobacco producer and they are lots smokers in our country. the price of 20 packs of analog cig consists of 60+% of govt tax. (1 pack - USD 3.35) .

I think the govt felt the impact of the rapidly declining of cig sales, hence affecting their revenue. they are trying imo to devise plan to "get" back the lost of sales from the above into "properly" taxing the e-cig and related accesories

Good point and on my experience up to date personally, feel that e cig is way healthier than smoking analog. Believe the whole agenda here is with regards to government protecting the big timers in BAT or Philip Morris...after all they contribute a huge amount of tax. Will take a look into the petition...cheers.

Hey 007Loo what's up?

yeah supposedly coming from the Minister of Health? haha

Anyway, the local broadcasting news (TV3) has interviewed few members from Malaysia Vaping Corner FB and other to get our side of the stories. It was yesterday if I'm not mistaken

We'll see how things goes

Vape on

Thats good stuff, didnt know the media would cover our side of the story. Lets hope for good news...im fine with tax being imposed but to ban e cig is a HUGE no no.

BTW bro...where do you get your e cig supplies now? like liquid and so forth.

Sorry, but e-cig leads you AWAY from chronic disease. They approve of and will let us kill ourselves with alcohol and tobacco. They are like drug dealers happy to see new addicts because their revenue increases. But like drug dealers, if anyone comes into their territory that in any way threatens to cut in on their cash action/ profit margin, they will ruthlessly go to war to eliminate the competition.

They are leaches feeding off of an engineered cash cow. Introduce a healthier alternative that will cut into their unethical fleecing of the flock and it becomes painfully obvious to the most casual observer that the well being of their citizens is in no way, shape or form more important than stealing their money.
