Hi, everybody

I'm living in Germany, 53, have smoked for more than 35 years and been vaping since September 2011.

In the face of the upcoming EU-regulation I'm interested in aspects, opinions, positions of vapors in other parts of the world.

My language skills are nothing to be proud of, so I'll apologize in advance for expectable mistakes...

Best wishes and - vape on!
Elke

Regulation opinions in what respect? I can't speak for everyone here, but I'd certainly say some regulation would be welcomed, especially with battery and e-juice safety. Also, most local codes now are stating that individuals aged under 18 not to be permitted to purchase any vaping equipment or juice, which I'd think is a good thing.

I believe there should be some regulations concerning the way juices are manufactured (cleanliness and content) and minors should not be able to buy these products as they are not allowed to purchase tobacco products. As far as regulations of how and where vaping is allowed and bought should not be for government regulation. There are numerous states in the US that are deregulating other banned substances because there is an overwhelming population that CHOOSE to partake in these things. Prohibition didn't work in the 20's and it won't work today. It was said a long time ago, that if you don't learn by mistakes in history you are destined to repeat them. Regulatory bodies should study history a little bit more before banning things that people are going to do regardless. Especially a life preserving decision like vaping!

Right - there should be some regulations as mentioned above. No question.

Here's the breakdown of the TPD Proposals which will be voted tomorrow in the EU Parliament.

If these Proposals go through (and it seems so they will) it means the end of vaping with functionally adequate atomizers etc
Further it means big business for Big Tobacco and their ciga-likes.

That's it in a nut shell
