Hello all!

Pretty new to all this, got my first e-cig a few of months ago to stop smoking. Camel was out at the bar giving out Vuse e-cigs and i got one and started down my road. Two weeks ago I went to a local vapor store to upgrade. I walked out with a evod clone and some fluid. I didn't know it was a clone and I also didn't know I had spent way more than the real deal goes for online. A couple of days later, a friend gave me a broken mod with a Kanger Protank 3 on it.

He didn't know what it was, so I started looking around online. Found out that I had a clone, and that was why it wasn't working as well as the Vuse. So I went to a different shop and bought an authentic Evod-Mega and some juice. Ran out of that juice and went to a different shop bought more juice.

So I've been to three shops and all of them have piles and piles of different brands and flavors of liquid.

Is there a specific brand or company that is recommended for liquid?

How do you know what a good brand is?

Anything to avoid?

Thanks

hey AustinTom, welcome to the land of ECF :toast:

boy, is that a question

"Which juice should I use or want"

look for what VENDORS get the most chat about

pick a few, make accounts and start trying samples

then choose your $$ spending $$ (cost) comfort zone

it really is a blend of hit-n-miss taste, cost, vendor

good luck

:)

as far as "TYPES" of juice

NIC levels {24mg-18mg-12mg-6mg} most common

BLENDS % - PG / VG

PG is said to carry more flavor, is harsher (TH) and some it irritates them

VG is thicker, creates more clouds, has a slight natural sweet twinge to it

maybe start off with a 50/50 % blend

then some trix as you begin is to maybe (as example)

you choose Banana as a flavor

get one in NIC level - - 12mg, then the same in 24mg
that way you can go back-n-forth till you learn which YOU prefer
then in the end you can mix them together (no waste)

also same with BLEND
some 50/50, 30/70, 70/30 % (PG/VG)

just some thoughts

:)

HINT : hover cursor over underlined words for descriptions (you're the OP)

here are a few popular juice vendors

- E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online | E Juice - Mt Baker Vapor
- Traditional E-Liquid & E-Cigarette Flavors by ECBlend
- Tobacco - Vape Wild

to ecf AustinTom. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. Just a wonderful place to be. A big congrats on the vaping. Isn't it wonderful? I just love it. Of course it is also the only thing that ever helped me to quit. There are so many really good place to get juice. As you will read the different threads, many will recommend what they like and that is a great place to find some good vendors. But when it gets right down to it, you have to please your own taste buds. When I first started, I was surprised by what I actually like and shock at some that I just went "neh". Here is a thread that ecf members post sales and it is a great place to find trusted places to buy.

Thanks guys. As for nic level, the first shop recommended 12mg. That wasnt enough so I got 18mg at the second. That still wasn't enough so I got 24mg at the third. All while trying to figure out which brand of the exact same flavor I liked. Turns out none of them.

Yesterday evening a different friend of mine learned I was quitting and gave me a Kanger Ipow 2 ! This thing is incredible. I put my Protank on it and it really is great.

Honestly it feels good that I have friends that care enough about my health to just give away expensive hardware like that.

He also told me about two more vape shops in town that are better than the three I already went to, but they are closed today. So hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to try a bunch of different juices. He said you can actually try them before you buy, which is what I'm looking for.

Anyways, I'm now at 72 hrs since my last cigarette, and very happy about it.

luck finding a shop that doesn’t want your money, they want your business

about 2 months in with my iPOW2, really love it...

you say ProTank , bcc (single) or bdc (dual) ?
I like to promote the single coil toppers, I love them and they
perform wonderful for me… super cheap and simple to keep running...

juice taste bar is a good way to go
most use flavors WITHOUT NIC , which to me kinda sux, because NIC
does change flavors - probably hear you say “tasted good in the shop”
got home and it wasn’t the same ? so beware

Good Luck
sounds like you’re in good hands and on your way
to declaring “I’M A NON SMOKER” :D

Thanks guys

I'm using a Protank 3 and the Evod Mega as backup. Both both use the bottom dual coils. I haven't really had any problems with it in the Protank, but it does leak some overnight in the Evod Mega tank.

I really like the variable wattage of the Ipow. I'm thinking about getting another for use while this one is charging.

Four full days now without smoking, and I'm beginning to feel so much better. Except that I am having trouble sleeping. Is this normal with making the switch to ecigs?

it could be, your body going thru withdrawal syndromes
drink extra water and enjoy your smell & taste returning...

reminder: clean all tanks before use, always check o-ring seals,
coil is only thing that needs to be TIGHT, everything else-just snug
apply juice as lube on all o-rings to promote sealing (never assemble dry)...

if protank is NOT leaking (evod mega is) swap coils
if evod mega still leaks, my thoughts would be tank not sealing
if protank now leaks, it is bad coil allowing juice to pass…
(just thinking out loud) :D

keep at it, you're doing good !

I'll have to try out switching the coils. I just got back from the vapor shop #4 and was really impressed. Much better than the others. Not as much selection, but much more knowledgeable staff. I picked up two new flavors to try, and they're both very good. Rootbeer float and a strong tobacco flavor(what I was trying to find before). It seems I'm gonna need alot more flavors of this stuff. Alot of good stuff out there.

Edit: there is quite a bit of difference in flavor between 0mg and 24mg, but its not overpowering. Still tastes good.

Hey guys just an update. I've been eight days now with no tobacco. I haven't felt this good in ten years. Or smelt this good according to my girlfriend.

A different friend of mine gave me an iStick that he had so I'm up to a good number of devices.

My brother stopped by the other day, and was curious about my ecigs, so I gave him the Evod Mega and some juice. Maybe he'll quit too.
