I'd like to take the vaporizer and liquid back to China, but I'm not sure if it is legal in China.
Could you tell me more about it?

Hi and welcome. I don't have any idea about your question, but much of the gear we use is made in China. It seems odd to me it might be unlawful.

I would email back to China, to your friends and see if they can locate a vape shop for you in China. I'd be pretty surprised if the devices are not allowed in China because a great deal of vape gear comes from China.

Thank you all for the replies to my question. I think it should be legal. But the custom controls the amount of them imported into China.

Welcome and with the restrictions in place at the Airports it's kind of doubtful. I would mail them ahead to assure you can take back the type and quantities you would like. You however might be able to carry a device and small amount of E Liquid on you.

Welcome all to ECF! I am not positive about China either. As someone mentioned, try and e-mail back.

I checked a couple of websites and it seems that it varies by region. Smoking cigarettes is getting a bad public image and ordinances/laws about where you can smoke are popping up in many places. The government is seeing a high cost due to smoking and is starting to "limit" or influence smoking. The Chinese people , as a generality, are less aware of the dangers of smoking as Europe and the Western Hemisphere. They also see smoking and vaping similarly. That from just what i read via the internet. So, it is getting a worsening image.

The Economist magazine did report that last June 1st (2015), Beijing banned e-cigs.

I did find a FB page that might help. It seems that on-line sales are less targeted by ordinances/laws. But, vaping in public in urban areas is chancy.
