Hi everyone, I'm new here :)

My husband bought me an e-cigarette for Christmas and I was quickly able to put down my pack a day habit. I accredit this to my strong want and readiness to quit and just not being able to because I did enjoy it so much. I have an evod marketed by dreamvapor. I did go purchase myself a spare a week later. I'm satisfied with it, and have already learned how to dry burn the coil to keep things fresh.

I do have a question but since I'm not able to post in the other forums yet, maybe you guys could help me here. I have just started having an issue with gurgling after I cleaned my coil, like there is to much juice making contact with my wick and is super saturating it. From what I have read in the forums, this is probably due to needing more wick material. I have some 100 percent cotton yarn laying around. Could I use this as extra wick material after I boil and dry it? Any other suggestions?

I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing with you guys!

Greetings Blueiz, welcome to the forum. Congrats on quitting smoking!

Before you try altering the wicks, make sure your coil is screwed into the base firmly enough -- when I fail to do this (like when i'm changing coils while thinking about something else :facepalm:) I often get gurgling on my BCC. Tightening up the coil is a qwik fix.

At the same time, make sure that you clearomizer is not attached too tightly to your battery, because this can cause problems too.

Of course I may be way off the mark here, in which case, I'm sure someone else will add some good advice on rewicking your EVOD.

Hi Blueiz..
welcome to the forum.. suggestion re: gurgling and too much juice.. open the tank.. look at the wick area.. does it fill all the space? .. if not fluff it up a bit.. i also saw once where a guy blew through a straw to clear out extra juice.. with the tank off the battery.. and the coil area expose.. that may or may not help.. over turning the insides on a sponge may also help soak up excess juice .. you'll learn more tips and tricks as you go.

Hi Blue, welcome to ECF

don't worry about where to 'post' (most read this section anyway)

YOU GET IT ! ;) (apparently a good student)

just keep going with your theory and all should be fine...
remove your old flavor wicks and replace with cotton

always tighten "coil to base" tight
but the rest (base to tank / evod to battery) just kinda snug

nice to have you aboard, keep asking/keep vaping :)

glad to hear you stopped the bad habit

Worth a try but I prefer getting pharmacy cotton balls that are supposed to be sterile.

I think if you experiment with cotton to replace the flavor wicks you'll figure out how to put it;

my first attempt I tried to stuff alot of it to try to plug the leaking; that didn't work surprisingly.

now I roll thread thin pieces and stack them on about 4 of them to replace the flavor wicks.

By the way, those evods would be plastic;
Smoktech seems to have a pyrex version:
