I'm not familiar with that kit, so I googled. Is this it Inferno Starter Kit?

If so, what you got includes a cartomizer tank, and some cartomizers. You will want to first plug in the charger and put one battery on to be charging. They probably come partially charged, so you can try the other one out right away.

You will then need to fill up a cartomizer (the small metal tube looking thing). There are several ways to fill a cartomizer, but the important thing is that you want it to be pretty full, slushy on top. You can put some liquid in and let it soak in, then add more. Or you can search for the condom fill method (use the little cartomizer cover to squish juice up through the cartomizer). Once it is good and full, blow it out into a tissue to clear the center channel.

After getting the cartomizer filled, you will need to put it in the tank. It looks like it will just slide into the tank. Put one of the tank caps on (top or bottom, not sure if it matters which first), then fill up the tank with liquid. Put the other tank cap on and you are ready to screw the cartomizer tank on the battery, but don't overtighten it. I'm assuming those cartomizers have a hole cut into them already, so as you vape, the liquid will feed into the cartomizer from the tank.

After you have it all assembled, press the button on the ecig as you inhale. You should get vapor. Many people vape a little differently than they smoke. You can try different things and see what you like. For me, I used to inhale directly into my lungs, but with vaping I inhale into my mouth and let it sit for a sec, then into my lungs, but not as deeply as when I smoked. Hard to describe, but you'll figure it out. You might cough some at first until you get the hang of it.

If it tastes burnt and/or you don't get much vapor, you possibly didn't get the cartomizer filled enough. It has coils running through the filler that vaporize the liquid. If the coils don't stay wet, the filler will burn and taste horrible.

I don't know if that helps any. You can also try looking for YouTube videos for that specifc brand, or just "how to use a carto tank".

I'd recommend buying and trying a few other topper devices (the things that hold and deliver the liquid). Try a few clearomizers (bottom and top coil). I don't know if the inferno thing is 510 threaded, but if it is you will have many options for juice delivery toppers.

Ask more questions now and as you go, and someone will be delighted to help you!

YW! And do look for YouTube videos on how to fill and use a cartomizer and cartomizer tank. It's so much easier to understand if you can see someone doing it. There should be a lot of videos out there.

I used to use carto tanks exclusively, but I've switched over to clearomizers now. One thing to be aware of, every delivery type has its own quirks and learning curves. Try a few different ones out, but be willing to devote a little time to really learning how to use them and troubleshoot. Keep tissues handy, as you will probably have some leaking as you learn what you are doing. Guaranteed, just about any problem you have someone here will be able to help you fix it.

Cartomizers have a limited life span. The time they last will depend on a few things. What happens to them is that juice caramelizes on the coils, and eventually they will produce less vapor and the taste will start to go off. How long this takes depends on a few things. One variable is your personal preference and taste buds. When I was using cartos I'd replace them about every 3 days. Some people get weeks of more out of them. I guess I am picky and like a fresh coil taste. Another thing that can make a difference is the particular liquid you are using. Sme liquids gunk up a coil faster than others. IME liquids that have extracted flavors tend to limit the life span of a coil.

One of the advantages of clearomizers over cartomizers (IMO) is that many clearos have replacable heads. So you don't toss the whole thing out, you just replace the coil head. Additionally, many of the clearomizers can be disassembled and cleaned. They can be cleaned in a variety of ways. Some people just soak them. Others will dry burn (disassemble the coil head, screw it onto the battery and pulse the battery to burn the gunk off of the coil). Of course, many don't want to fiddle with this, and as cartomizers and coil heads are relatively inexpensive, just buying new and replacing is still quite affordable.

Cartomizers can sort of be cleaned (soak, rinse, dry thoroughly) but many find that usually don't work as well after being cleaned.

thx for the tips guys...guess i'll have to go get myself some tanks to play around.. btw is the connection universal? does all different types of tanks fit in? sry if its a stupid question..

no its actually really important to ask that, lol

I think the bigger Kanger tanks (for example) are 510 connectors. My mini protank IIs by them are eGo thread, if i recall correctly. you will really have to examine your gear and see what tank you get matches or needs an adapter. this way you can use em when you get them (and rinse em out first lol. no telling what machine oil or crap is left in from making a tank).

DO investigate about how to make your own coils, it pays off in majorly better vapes. Info in my blog post about Kanger coils, but that can apply to many other setups. I also list a lot of tools I snagged (for cheap) to help things along.

It is an eGo class PV BUT the Volcano Inferno has 510 threading but no eGo threading. What looks like eGo threading is for their proprietary cartos. Since most Kanger tank clearos - T3, T3S, Baby T3, MT3/S, Evod, Protank, mini protank use eGo threading, you wouldn't be able to use them without some type of an adapter and not sure if there is one that would look right. All other 510 attys, clearos, cartos should work on the 510 threading.

If you wish to use eGo threaded accessories/ tanks you have to purchase a 510 to eGo adapter:
510 Battery to eGo Atomizer Adapter

Your kit appears to be a 510 connection but has no confirmation on the site. I would wait till you get the kit to make sure what kind of connection you have. Once you find out come back and look or ask for some suggestions, you don't want to be stuck with equipment that doesn't work for you device

John, do you know what tanks and such will fit on it, other than the one it comes with? I was searching for info and it seems it's got inner 510 threading, but the outer threading is proprietary? So, I was wondering if something like an evod would fit on it? I figure a protank or protank mini would fit, anything with a straight 510 connection, but not sure about tanks with an ego connection.

But wouldn't a protank work? Protank is just 510, not 510/ego. Full size would look weird, but a mini might look okay.
