I just realized that I've been lurking this forum for a month and a half now with 0 posts, so I thought I'd introduce myself. Hi! I'm David.

I got my first pv delivered on december 30th. I wasn't very impressed with it, the batteries didn't last very long and the marlb liquid was not that good. I was suckered in by a 50% off coupon code from ejuiceonline.com to go for it and ended up spending way too much. My intention was to make a dent in the amount of money I spent on analogs and not have to go outside to smoke all the time. However, I found that after one full day of using that pv I didn't have a desire to smoke cigarettes anymore. My last one was on 12/31/10! I'm thinking that the convenient date helped motivate me to not smoke

Since then, I have ordered a Riva 510 from liberty flights (muuch better), and I am on my 3rd order from madvapes. (got a 3.7v box mod kit in this one ) I'm grateful for the plethora of information that you ecf users supply, I very well might have gone back to smoking without it. As it is, I've gotten 2 other people to buy their own. They haven't given up smoking yet, but hopefully they're not smoking as much.

Honestly, even though on paper this looks like it's cheaper than a pack a day habit, I'm pretty sure I haven't quite broken even yet. Too many different things to try!

SO many flavors, companies and batteries, this is more stressful than buying a car!! I have been vaping for a month, I have had 2 packs in that time, could have been 3 cartons. So, it helps. I ran out of carto, and no battery power, and the cigerette tated terrible. I have been a smoker since 1971. I don't know if its healthier, or replacing one habit with another. It does taste better, my clothes and hair don't stink, and I don't have to stand in the rain or snow!! Its a HUGE industry. Good luck!

Thanks guys! It took me a while, but I finally gave up on finding a juice that was trying to taste like a cigarette... I've only been smoking for about 12 years (wow, never really did the math before, that's a lot longer than i thought) but I'm finding that I'm just as satasfied using my riva as I was with my marlboros. Even when I go to a bar, I don't want a cigarette. Now I can't imagine that would last if I had a catastrophic ecig failure that kept me without, but that's why I'm going to put together some diy mods

I understand ... I got "taken" too and wound up spending more that I really should have. BUT ... just telling myself ok, I've spent more this month on vaping than I would have on analogs but let's factor in that I had an interview I went to that I was not concerned about smelling like an ashtray, I'm sleeping MUCH better than I have in a long time (not waking up for a smoke), I have more energy (played racquetball like every Tuesday - but was not nearly as winded), more relaxed, not burning holes in my clothes, sense of smell is returning, kids are proud that I'm finally kicking the cigs out, car smell is slowly returning to normal, ... yadda, yadda, yadda .... I think I'm breaking even ... maybe even a little ahead of the game. Congrats and don't stop!!!!
