I just want to say hi to everyone, I stumbled across this site a couple of days ago while searching for something on Google. I'm fairly new to vaping, at least with a good mod box that was worth the money. I was a smoker for 17 years and I got to the point I hated the habit period. My wife and I both bought Tsunami V power pens three years ago and quit for a couple of months until they wouldn't function properly, if at all. A few months after we bought a couple of used mods and tanks from a couple she knew. A 30W e leaf mod and tsunami quake tank wasn't worth anything either. Three weeks ago we both bought a Geek Vape Aegis Solo 100W kit and absolutely love them. We didn't get anything over 100W or dual 18650 battery powered so we didn't get something to high end for a newbie. Definitely getting a 150-200 W kit in a couple of months, at least for the longer battery life between charges. I've been cigarette free for 5 weeks and feel a lot better already. After playing with the VPC settings on mine I dialed in the perfect set up. Sorry for the long post, I look forward to becoming a bigger part of this community.

Hi Scott and welcome! Glad to hear you're off to a good start this time around. Lots of folks here really like the Solo, it's a solid choice that should last you a good while.
Thank you! I'm definitely done with cigarettes, I haven't had the urge for one and can't stand the smell of them since I quit. The Solo has been well worth the money. The shock and dust proof part along with being so easy to clean were what sold me on it since I'm a woodworker. The 0.02 Ohm super mesh coils produce excellent flavor, something the V Power pen and e leaf mod/Tsunami tank setups severely lacked in.

Welcome Scott.
Good move on Family Vape. It's really hard to stop smoking with a smoker near by.
Not picking, but isn't the 0.02 ohms really 0.2 ohms?
I recently kicked up my power level from about 8 watts from home made 3.7 volt 'mods' to 12 to 14 watts and .2 to .4 ohm mesh coils. I also DIY the juice for the wife and I, same flavor, same 50/50 PG/VG for about the last 10 years.
Currently down to about 10mg/ml, the wife lower than that and the Mod has actually grown to be part of my hand.

You're correct, I meant 0.2 Ohms, I have no idea why I put 0.02 up there. Thank you for pointing that out though, I honestly appreciate it. My wife decided to quit a few days after I did and if she hadn't the hardest part for me would have been the smell of cigarette smoke since I can't stand it now. I know what you mean about your mod becoming part of your hand, the Aegis Solo fits in your hand very well which I love also. I've been thinking about getting the ingredients for diy juice not knowing what the governor in Missouri might say about the "epidemic" on the next couple of weeks. I found I like a 70/30 VG PG ratio in any juice I buy and I can do 3mg or 6mg for the most part with more 3mg lately.

There’s a whole subsection on DIY E-Liquid
Here.
