Hello people, I've been a smoker of tobacco since 11 years old & now I am at the ripe old age of 33. I saw these e-cigs etc a while ago now & only sampled one about two weeks ago. At the start I wasn't that impressed with it but found out later on the battery was running low & also it needed to be refilled, on my 2nd go with a full charge & new juice added I was very impressed with the quality.

Due to money issues etc I got a sample of the Eton e cigarettes which are a 1 time thing, once the battery has gone you are meant to throw it away, my first ever try of one wasn't that brand, it was the E-lites brand from Asda.

It took me only a few goes to get used to the way they feel, as I've been a smoker of roll up's for years but I've not looked back since I tried it.

I found out you have to make 5 posts on this section before you can post anywhere else to stop spam etc, I was going to ask with the market for these products so huge where do people suggest you move onto in the world of e-cigs / vapour as there seems 1001 options out there.

Any tips etc would be great, thanks in advance :)

Hello and welcome to ecf.

Look at a couple of vendors and see what may appeal to you.
Discount vapers
Madvapes
Gotvapes
just add a dot com on to these and have a look.
Think about what you want in terms of look, flavor, battery life. And what you want it to accomplish.

ie. If battery life is important, come back and ask. If looks are important same thing.

Depending on how long and how much you smoke(d) will depend on what you would be happy with. I was a long time smoker and knew the instant I tried a cig-a-like that they just were not powerful enough to get me off the stinkies.

good luck and let us know how it is going.
Always someone home here at ecf to help.

:)

Congrats on quitting. You're done with the hard part!

Now, dig in, and enjoy. Try everything, and find your comfort zone, and then enjoy it! This forum can help you avoid a lot of the pitfalls, and will let you research pretty much everything on the market. Keep posting, ask questions, and enjoy your new healthier and non-stinky habit!

Well, if money is a factor, depends on how much you would like to spend. I started with a $7.50 CE4 ego-knockoff kit from china that took ages to arrive. I later got a new eGo T battery on ebay for $10 with shipping included and a $10-$14(depending on the vendor) protank mini 2. The CE4 tank also fits on the eGo T battery, and that is cheaper, but for me it was worth the extra money for the protank. You do have to switch out the coil piece, which can last between a few days to a few weeks depending on the liquid used(2 come with it), which I purchase on ebay for 15 for about $19, which should last a pretty long time. Juices can be purchased online, I have used Mount Baker Vaper as it is relatively cheap ($5 for 15ml), depending on your usage how heavy your usage it can last a week or more(seems here people vape between 1ml to 5ml a day, I do about 2ml). A higher nicotine level may make it easier to stretch.

So for a set up cost like what I am using is about $25. I use about $5 worth of liquid per week,(but I have purchased more liquid than I need to sample flavors), and with coil costs that may add about $1 per week. So, if I were to spend the bare minimum on liquid, my costs are about $6 per week. Still cheaper than cigs.

Thanks for such a nice welcome folks, I didn't expect a single reply yet, let alone 4 posts & such a nice tone.
I'm just about to have a look around at the ideas listed, thanks folks :)

It seems a mine field to pick in the UK as the options are so vast, it's good to see a Forum like this with such a large amount of traffic on it & people that actually know what they are on about.
Thanks people, I'll be back if I have any other questions :)

On a separate note, does anyone have any idea why these things are banned in Norway?
My future wife lives over there & I am from England, their Tobacco over there is very strong, she smokes a brand called Rød 3 which is like smoking an old dusty Afghan Rug, I had plans to send her some for health reasons but I've read they are illegal to own etc which shocked me, for a Country that is anti smoking I felt they would take this idea as a good thing, turns out they look on it as a kind of "drug" which is crazy.
The more I Google it the more shocked I became, looks like some people actually want us to smoke stuff that has over 400 extra added chemicals & causes terrible diease & cost to the NHS.

Thanks for the nice welcome folks, I hope to stick around on here & I am spreading the word of these things among my mates as they are all smokers too like I am. It's just logical in my view to swap to e-cigs for health & £ reasons.

Hi and welcome to ECF.

I don't mean to shortchange you on tips and suggestions, but I don't have much time at the moment. I really just wanted to point out that if you answer each post here individually, you will hit your 5 posts really quickly... :)

I'll try and get back here later with my thoughts and suggestions, if I don't though, you are in good hands in these forums!

Good luck!
