Hi, sorry to trouble you. You seem to have had a problem with a sx350j chip stuck in joules mode some time ago. I have exactly the same problem and wondered if you found a fix?

Never found a fix... Closest I could tell on mine was chip was ruined ... Even after update no change in mine... Been a while.. Not even sure if I still have the mod or if I trashed it..
