Well, pretty much every continent or island is going to have an east coast. I went to school on the northern east coast of the USA. I was born in North Dakota, which is about as far from a coast as it is possible to get. No, really. Theres this rock with a spike in it in rugby ND which is claimed to be the exact geographical center of North America.
What struck me as odd is that while it was warmer, it was also wetter so it felt just a cold. North Dakota had bigger numbers but the actual discomfort was about the same. East Coast cold was just less likely to kill you.
