Hey guys, I'm new to vaping and just wanted to introduce myself and talk about my experience up until now.

A few months ago I saw one of the commercials for the American Bluetip cigarettes which got me thinking about trying out ecigs. I'd been off cigarettes for a couple of years, but due to some very stressful events I went back to it for almost a year.
Well, being the skeptic I am, I don't really trust stuff advertised on sketchy looking commercials, not to mention their website layout and the fact that there wasn't much info unless you call them. I went to google to do some research and WOW, just about every "review" website is someone that you can tell is trying to sell stuff for that specific company, or someone that obviously has no clue what they're talking about. FINALLY after hours of searching I came upon this website and started doing some actual research (luckily, found out about how American Bluetip, Blu cigs, etc., aren't that great).
So, after several hours of research, I decided to order an Inferno from Volcano on November 5th. I was very happy with the vaporizer, but the big mistake I made was only ordering vanilla and coffee flavor, both of which gave me the urge to have an analog. Oops.
So due to budget issues I went a little while longer smoking analogs and lightly vaping. Finally about 2 1/2 weeks ago I ordered some Johnson Creek juices, Menthol Carts from Volcano (those actually came with the magma I decided to also order), and sample packs from Awesome Vapor. Since I got my new juices in I have had absolutely NO urge to smoke. I do like the dessert flavors, but they definitely couldn't be my only juices since they still give me the urge for something cigarette flavored (pretty good to mix in with the tobacco or menthol though :D). Only down side, I decided the menthol flavor from Awesome Vapor is the BEST THING EVER, and I only had the little sample bottle, so I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the two larger bottles I ordered since the little bottle just ran out a few hrs ago. I have no fear of going back to analogs while waiting, but the other flavors I have aren't nearly as tasty.

Anyway, that's my experience up until now. Long story short, if it wasn't for this forum I would probably still be smoking, or ended up with an ecig that didn't work for me (Almost thought about ordering the Blu, and after using the Magma and Inferno I don't think that would have made me happy). I'm hoping I can get my parents, who are heavy smokers, converted and possibly some other family members and friends.

You should try Awesome Vapors RY4 sometime as it's really nice. A smooth tobacco inhale followed by a mildly sweet caramel/vanilla finish. Yummy!!

Congratulations on kicking the analog habit!! It only gets better from here on.

Oh and btw...I'm sitting here on the porch in shorts and flip flops thinking of all you poor souls up there.
I raise this Black Death martini to you!!

Welcome to the e-cig information highway, I too like you stumbled across this site while researching and am very happy I did. There are so many options when it comes to vaping, fortunately there are some great people here that willingly give their knowledge to help anyone trying to quit analogs. I hang out on the reo mod thread and have found that everyone there are just terrific, renewed my faith in people with all they are willing to do to help. Again congrats and if you need any help or have questions, just ask and someone on this forum will gladly try to help you out

Great story and glad to have you here!
The juice flavors seem to be one of the biggest challanges to get just right.
Order small and from different vendors.
I have about 5 different orders from different vendors on its way to add to my collection.
Also please remember
That you taste buds will change over the next few weeks/months (after getting off the analogs)
What is great today, might not be so great next month.
Also remember to let some of these new liquids "steep" a bit and what tasted terrible the first try
might be pretty good a week or so after you get it.
Congrats again!

Thanks everyone for your welcomes and info :D

Sorrid I'm jealous. It is currently 31 degrees here. Supposed to go up into the 40s though, not too bad I guess.
I did try the RY4 from my sample pack, and I'm liking it just for something different, but mainly I'm big on menthol. I've always liked minty stuff, menthol cigarettes, and even the menthol candies from Japan. I guess It's just my thing. :p When I tasted the menthol from AV I was just like "OMG! Must have more!", and I didn't have that reaction to any of the other flavors I tried, or the other brands of menthol.

Currently I ordered a custom pack from AV with various dessert and sweet flavors of my choosing, and also the tobacco sample pack. All of the flavors were pleasant, but most didn't appeal to me for constant use.
I also ordered the arctic menthol from Johnson Creek, and while the flavor was decent I found it too tobacco-y and not strong enough on menthol. The wisconsin frost was better, nice and minty, but not quite strong enough. I also got tennessee cured (really liked that one oddly enough), domestic (decent) and JC Original (had absolutely no taste to me for some reason. That could partially be because of my allergies. I have to take allegra to taste anything much, and even then something that's not very strong is pretty tasteless to me).
The menthol carts from Volcano were nice and strong, but has kind of a weird aftertaste. Not too bothersome, but since I can replace it with the AV menthol I have no reason to re-order that flavor. Plus it makes me cough in the morning for some reason, kind of a "harsh" undertone, whereas the AV menthol doesn't.

Of course I'm willing to try more brands/flavors. I love sampling different flavors of stuff, so I'll probably order more sample packs when the budget allows. :D
