Howdy Tingting. Welcome to the forums. Provari user here myself, though I also have acquired a Vamo, and a Sigelei VMax, and a couple of smoktech mech mods, eGo's Volcanos, etc... I have to say... I do like the Provari the best out of all of them, though I still find a use for my eGo's as well. I'm not going to jump on the Provari Fanboy club and say that it is the end-all, be-all of the vaping world, but it is a great mod. The Sigelei Vmax is a really nice mod as well and runs around $99 in most places, so that might be one you want to consider and it is currently my close second favorite. Honestly, I just don't get the Vamo fans... The mod is really poorly constructed. Own one and have handled half a dozen of them so far and they aren't that impressive. Construction of them is not "built like a tank" like so many say they are. Yeah it's a thick walled mod, sectioned into three pieces (tank compromised) and I could go on and on about stuff like the floating contact head, etc... Ah well... Anyway, there are a lot of good mods out there. Some are better than others, but even some of the lesser expensive mods are worth the money. The Vamo V2 is worth the money. For you, sounds like the Provari is what you really want and they are certainly worth the money as well. Good luck and enjoy!

Hi, tingting, and welcome to ECF. Yes, there are plenty of Provari owners on this forum. Once you have 5 posts and the server has had time to reset (every hour), you will be able to post on the Provari sub-forums. There you can talk and ask questions of other Provari owners. ProVari

I have two Provari's myself. I have a satin blue Provari version 2.0 with battery extension cap, and a satin black Mini version 2.5. I use primarily IBTanked pyrex cartotanks on mine, and also started using a couple of AGA T2 rebuildable atomizer tanks as seen below.

Thanks for the recognition, mayday.

To the OP, make sure you have enough batteries for your Provari and a quality charger for them. Provari's require AW brand, IMR (red ones) of the proper size that are the button top style. Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor Do not use "protected" or NCR batteries; those may not work in a Provari, besides the Provari has built-in safety protection features. Flat top batteries will not work in a Provari, either.

Batteries are rated in "mAh". This lets you know on average how long a battery should last between charges. 1 hour is equal to 100 mAh. So, an 18650 battery with 2000 mAh rating should last 20 hours between charges. An 18350 battery of 700 mAh should last 7 hours between charges. This info is helpful to know how many batteries you will need to last you all day.

RTD Vapor is an excellent resource to obtain batteries and chargers: Battery chargers at RTD Vapor. I recommend not skimping on batteries or a charger when using a Provari or any other battery device. If you can afford it, the Pila or the Xtar VP1 are top of the line quality. Otherwise I recommend a mid-level Xtar or Nitecore charger.

mhh not sure what you mean about button style tho?

Welcome aboard!

I'm a Vamo kinda guy, but Provari's are great mods. We hope you enjoy ECF!

Bri

thanks i hope to enjoy it here too mate :)

Wrainn has a ProVari that she has been using since 2011, We both started off with a REO as our High End Mod but the box wasn't good for her hand so she traded it for a ProVari here on this forum, she is still holding on to it today. I have bought her several other mods but she always returns to her bedazzled ProVari!

sweet, cant wait to join the club

The batteries used in advanced personal vaporizers use either "protected" NCR batteries or "high drain" IMR batteries (don't need protected circuits due to safer chemistry used). They also have either "button" tops or "flat" tops. The Provari requires the button top variety.

When you click on the link I gave before you will see the red AW IMR batteries have a raised "button" in the center of their tops. These are the ones required to work in the Provari.
