hi hoping to find fellow vapor's to gain knowledge in D.I.Y E-JUICES

Been vaping for just over a year. I stopped smoking the day I picked up a vapor pen. I was fine with buying my juices with the smaller setup, but since I got into Mechanical mods I been using close to 5 to10ml. A day So I got into D.I.Y E-JUICES.
I noticed that the citrus flavors mix up well for me but when I try to make a simple strawberry or blueberry mix it does not compare to other brands i have tried I get the correct flavors but there not as sweet and bold. I was wondering if there is something im doing wrong I noticed some use sweetner in there mixes. If anyone can help me in this area that would be appreciated.

New to vapors and just trying out different juices and different companies is a shopping experience for me. I like to shop what can I say I am a woman I seen posts and you tubes about DIY way beyond my capabilities I had enough trouble figuring out steeping and all the other new words and worlds that come with vaping. Yikes its scary but delightful world so any ways don't know if this counts as a thread probably not but good luck and all and you got courage for the DIY in my opinion. Vape on fellow vapors.

I use Capella Sweet Strawberry and it's potent and sweet; too sweet for me really. I learned all I need to know down in the DIY forum but everyone's tastes are subjective.

Personally, it really depends on the flavouring agents, but make sure you steep your juice for a decent period.

Just put it in a cool shady place for a few days.

Also, make sure to "infuse air" as well. This can be done by just shaking the bottle (which is what I do) quite vigorously until you see lots of little bubbles in there, then let it rest and repeat when the bubbles are gone.

Alternatively you can use a tool to stir up the juice (one youtuber uses a splayed qtip and a drill).

Combine the air infusion with the steeping and your flavours will come out stronger.

Also if that doesn't help at all you may not be using enough flavouring agent, or just happened to find a bad batch.

Yeah everyone's tastes are different and I just found out yesterday what a sick cough syrup e juice is like. Read reviews but only stuck to a cheery ice which I paid too much for at a local tobacco store and it was okay and then got wild cherry from my local vape store it was good...Ventured into the unknown and could kick my own but because I think I could have tested it had I thought it was criss cross cherry 1st hit was okay then after that cough syrup all the way glad I only but about three bucks in it. I don't do too sweet unless it is chocolate maybe but sicky sweet fruit flavors is not my thing.

Also, too much flavor can take a U turn and become muted. 10% might be good, 12% better but 15% might taste like you have 1% in there. I've flushed a few 10ml bottles down the drain while experimenting. I found my fruit flavors don't need much steep while desert breads and coffee and tobacco flavors need some aging. I use an ultra sonic cleaner with the bottle tops open for a few hours to speed the steep along. Just stand them up in the water bath and let them molecules buzz!

I had the same result when i tried using cherry. its one of my favorites flavors but I found out fast in e-juice its not for me the taste was like cough syrup.
I have loads of flavors ranging from fruits, citrus, coffee, carmel ect. I have flavors from TFA, CAPELLA, LORANS, and SEEDMAN. So far I been hooked on a mix of lemon/lime, mango, and melon its very tasty but I would like to get some others mixed up that I like as well. I am awaiting an order now were I got more flavors but also got 2 brands of sweetner im hoping that is what i am missing in some of my more fruity flavors. I picked up some Ethyl Maltol and sweetner "sucralose" both from TFA..
