I'm mostly just curious about vaping since people I know vape.First, there is no smoke. Smoke comes from combustion and we don't do that
Second, vaping is less harmful than smoking but not risk free.
Third, why would you want to start vaping as a non-smoker? (not judging just curious)
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend it either. But I also don't oppose it. Adults (which I hope OP is one of) can make an informed decision on what risks they're willing to take and judge whether it's worth it to them.I would never recommend a non smoker to pick up vaping
I completely agree, I do not recommend it but I am not judging or trying to push them away. I just wanted to point out the two issues (health and cost) that everyone should consider before starting.Yeah, I wouldn't recommend it either. But I also don't oppose it. Adults (which I hope OP is one of) can make an informed decision on what risks they're willing to take and judge whether it's worth it to them.
Eg I know a girl with a couple of dietary restrictions due to illnesses and medications, she never smoked and vapes to have fun with flavors (she doesn't use nicotine).
Even if someone is willing to pick up nicotine I won't go out of my way to prevent them from doing so.
So youneedtochell, if you're indeed an adult and can't help but try a vape just to see what it's like - why not try it from one of those people you know that vape? Best without nicotine if that's not something you explicitly want.
If you're not a person particularly prone to addictions I don't think you'd get hooked anyways but if you don't want it there's no need to find out. You could get a small bottle of nic free juice and ask your friends for a device to test.
Or you could decide right away it's not that attractive after all and give up on it![]()
This is pretty much what I was going to post. Ask your friends for liquid recommendations that you'll like, then get a bottle in 0 nic and try it on their device. It's possible one of your friends even has some 0 nic juice around (I buy 0 nic if it's what the store has and add my own nic, so could set aside some 0 for someone to try).So youneedtochell, if you're indeed an adult and can't help but try a vape just to see what it's like - why not try it from one of those people you know that vape? my dad had ms,so you struck a deep cord with me.you have one more hobby you can lean on.(that's us)OK so I am a new vaper who didn't come to vaping from cigarettes.
My reasons? This is for real. I have other habits that are destructive to my body and well-being and little will-power to stop doing them on my own. I made light of my issues on my intro thread, but my biggest problem is an addiction to coffee/caffeine. For the normal person that might be low on the totem pole of problems, but I have multiple sclerosis and this disease has caused me intense bladder problems that my 9-10 cups a day habit (using real cream, no less) was escalating. I can't work and I sit at home all day, and making these cups of coffee has turned ritualistic for me, as was getting up every 10 minutes to pee. Something had to give.
Oh and I'm ADHD and a recovering alcoholic and I've spent my life searching for a vice that was the least destructive and I'm hoping that this will be it, as long as I stick to 0 nic or very low nic options in my juice choices. I've got several aquaintances who vape and it might even improve my social life.
So there it is, a justification for vaping without having smoked cigs first.![]()
Welcome and glad you joined.I'm mostly just curious about vaping since people I know vape.
Hi! I just wanted to know a little more about vaping as a non-smoker. Is it healthy for someone that's never smoked regular cigarettes to start vaping? Also dumb question but can you choke on the smoke as a beginner? Thanks!
