No, it's not "healthy", but it's better for you than eating the junk food treats a lot of liquids taste like.

I don't feel non-smokers vaping is something I need to really advise against as long as they stick to 0 nic liquids. This lets people do it casually for fun without risk of physical addiction, something impossible with tobacco products.

What about if physical addiction can benefit some of us...

Studies show that nicotine prevents the development of ulcerative colitis and nicotine is a Preventative and Treatment for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Nicotine Helps in Weight and Insulin Control...nicotine has been shown to suppress appetite and reduce obesity... nicotine significantly improves blood sugar balance...

Research has confirmed positive psychiatric effects of nicotine: It has been shown to improve cognition, memory, attention and mood, as well as reduce anxiety. Levels of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin all increase with nicotine usage.

Is nicotine bad for people's health?

The research literature is unclear. Nicotine, in part through the release of adrenaline, can increase heart rate and blood pressure. So do caffeine in coffee and tea...

Although animal studies have raised the possibility that these changes may damage the blood vessels, potentially leading to cardiovascular disease, the limited data in humans have not confirmed this risk.

I smoked for 43 years a pack a day.. and in the last 20 years I did not see any doctor for any medical problem...my blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol level are in perfect/normal range... I eat a lot of unhealthy stuff full of gluten and sugar: bread, mostacioli, cookies, chocolates, potatoes... I drink a lot of coffee and tea.. and my weight is the same as it was 40 years ago (it fluctuates from 130-135LBs). I quit smoking because I was sick of paying $ 7 per pack and sick of my wife complaining that I smell as ashtray...

I have 2 sons ... they never smoked... one is battling depression and another was diagnosed with diabetes T1 at age 18.... I would much much preferred they were addicted to nicotine than suffered those diseases...

I don't really inhale into my lungs and I still get the benefits. I don't get huge clouds though, either. I just fill my mouth and exhale through my nose. I can taste it as it fills my mouth and I can smell it as it passes through my nose.

I do think "I" benefit from the 3ish mg content that I use. It is not as fast as the nicotine that a cigarette puts out, but if I sit and relax, it gets there.

Everyone is their own person and decides, ultimately, what and how is best.

Hi! I just wanted to know a little more about vaping as a non-smoker. Is it healthy for someone that's never smoked regular cigarettes to start vaping? Also dumb question but can you choke on the smoke as a beginner? Thanks!
I am not one to judge by any means. But one must ask themselves.. if you aren't looking for a tobacco alternative, are there not better things to spend that extra money on?

I really don't know the age in question, but their are times in life to try things to see what the ha-bub is about. I notice that my...22-30yo students seem to have well-tried vaping.

I did the same. Some people travel to experience new things. I may not appreciate their desire to visit Mongolia, but I don't think it a waste.

Some say that the most fertile land is "botton land"...and I live on a mountain. Maybe I will learn.

It's odd that reformed risk takers seek salvation in safety .
If the purpose of life was to be safe we would have been better designed like crabs or snails .
What ever happened to the pursuit of happiness .
It may be elusive but I'll defend the right to hunt for it.
If a never smoker thinks they might gain pleasure from vaping , I am not going to be the one to burst that bubble .

It wasn’t risk taking, it was stupid and teenage invincibility. I’m older and wiser now and my pursuit to happiness isn’t dying like my mother did. I’m trying not to do that to my daughter.
