Sofie's here, how're you? I'm great. I finally decided to dig my way out of my hole after having an impulsive buy including the Smoktech SID and DCT's, averaging me about $120.

I figured it was about time I went here and maybe learned something before I bought anymore things I did not have a clue about.

First off, I do want to say that to the outsider, this is such a wonderful community. You guys make me proud to be a vaper, even if I'm not directly associated with the community. It's a pleasure knowing it's there, and is so massive.

That aside! I am very curious about many things but have no clue where to start. Here's the basic idea: I've been vaping some long months now, in my current arsenal I have the protank II, an assortment of VV eGo's, the iTaste V3 VV (my arch nemesis), some eVods for my husband, and that's it. I basically went through every clearomizer imaginable and my only dabble into tanks was a one-time purchase, and I accidentally burned the shizzle out the atty thing by for whatever reason screwing it onto the battery and firing it dry. Good times.

Now, I'm having a little thing inside me that wants to come out and move away from all of that, and try something bigger and better.

I know virtually nothing about atomizers, tanks, rebuildables... My knowledge is seriously so extensive (seriously) that I have went on a 2-day quest to find those weird, studly, slim things I see people use on their giant PV's, only to much later discover those are just freaking drip guards, not an actual atty.

So, I'm asking your help to maybe, point me towards some encyclopedia I can read on this, but also, recommend me your favorite... thing. I'm curious to venture into dripping, and I want better taste out of my juices. I also will not mind looking into rebuilding coils, I'm quite curious about it.

So... That was quite a lot, huh? Big wall of text I typed up. Feels like it's my duty to summarize my babbling, so here goes:

1. I'd like to know more about tanks, atomizers, what does bridgeless mean, can they be used daily, how to distinguish between them, and if you can recommend any specific models that'd be great.

ALSO!

2. I've been curious about the Reo Grand, but know very little about the structure of it. If anyone owns one and can share some tips on what I need to get and how to use it, I would appreciate it.

Well, that's that for questions! One final thing (And this isn't optional!), as this is an introduction: Tell me your favorite eliquid flavor! Me, I have a horrible sweet tooth, so you see me puffing out strawberries and lemonade. My husband will not come near it.

And.. it's a wrap!

Hi Sofie, lets get the non-optional question out of the way first. For a sweet tooth, I like Heather's Ginger Bread Chi to Allusions Blueberry Vanilla Cake.

I have two of the APV's you mentioned and have questions about your like/dislike, namely the Smok SID and the Itaste V3 vv. I received my Itaste last week along with a Kanger Protank 2 Mini and like the combo. I gave my SID to my daughter along with additional tubes for 18350 and 18490 batteries. Except for the lousy threading, the SID performed very well.

I also have the REOS mini 2.1 with the RM2 atty and absolutely love it. If you are interested in building coils, this is probably the easiest put there for a beginner.

There are sub-forums for each of the products in question to learn more. Or click on the Advanced Search feature, top right of this page. You'll get the same answers as you will here and more.

You burnt the crap out of an atty? You've completed your membership requirements :). Welcome.

I have lots of Protanks and love them, but have not got a protank II yet since I am happy with the originals. The biggest thing with the Protank for me is removing one of the top flavor wicks for thicker juices and priming the heads (in the little condom the heads come in) in juice before installing them. It will prevent burning of the wicks.

I have a VV Reo Grand and a Reo mini and love them, but honestly, don't use them much since the Protank came out. They are wonderful, trouble-free mods. All you really need worry about buying with those are the shorty cartos (he has pretty good prices on those on his site) and juice (oh and batteries of course). Of the two the mini is my favorite. It's the perfect size for my hands and slips into a pocket easily.

    Welcome to the forum! :)

Ooh, do you mean HHV? Because I have not seen anything ginger bread (and 90% of my juices are from there... whoops), and I feel like I might be missing something amazing. Or is there another artisan named Heather I'm not familiar with?

With the SID, I actually did not receive it yet, as I made the order yesterday. So I can get back to you on that when I receive it :)

Now, about the iTaste V3... Oh, boy. Okay. I might be using it totally wrong, or perhaps it really is wonky, but mine just burns down everything I own. The first time I got it, I put a fresh cleaned/coiled protank I on it, and it burned so bad at just 3.7 volts I could not believe. And it wouldn't stop afterwards. Everything I put on it. Protank II, I, eVod, 2.2ohms, 2.5ohms... Whenever I go over 3.6volts on it the taste goes from strawberries to something akin to putting a blowtorch to a knot of hair. The only time I can use it is when it's on 3.4 volts. As for the wattage setting, can't even get into that. anything over 6.5 burns.

So, yeah, I'm not sure what's going on there, and I don't want to jump to conclusions and blame the device, but it's currently the black sheep of my vape family.

One thing I still can't understand (I should probably go research before asking, but eh, caution to the wind). Is the RM2 a separate piece, does it come attached to the Reos on the top (I'm assuming it has to, for the bottom feeding), do you then get separate bases/covers for it to cover that up? I'm very unclear on it all.

EDIT: Wonk, found the RM2 in the Reos shop. Well that was awkward duck. I got it now! Thanks for mentioning it, after I try my new SID, and if I have any funds leftover, I will definitely look towards the Reos :)

And to everyone else, much thanks for all the encouragement :)
