Hi i bought smok priv one that can do up to 60w and the dude in the vape shop told me 70vg juice will burn the coil, is it true?
The SMOK Priv is a mod that merely supplies power to the tank on top of it. Which tank are you using? Pg and Vg are usually listed as a ratio of say maybe 50 pg/ 50 vg, or 30 pg/ 70 vg. 70 vg doesn't sound like an inappropriate ratio for most modern tanks on the market.
Add and i wanted to buy a new one next month and i thought on buying vaporesso revenger go, and i barely saw reviews on hin, any thoughts?
I have to admit, I don't know much about the Vaporesso Revenger Go, but I hear favorable comments about that companies mods. I would think it should be better than any SMOK product.

Someone who uses that mod should show up to comment soon.

Im using the tank i got with the priv one box, its a starter kit, and the coil can do between 25 to 45 w so i can use 70vg 30pg juice?

I still can't comment because I still don't know the name of the tank. Depending upon the dealer that you bought your starter kit from, it could have any tank on top of the mod. There must be a name on the box that the tank came with? If not, there should be a brand name and/or model of the tank somewhere on the tank. How are you supposed to know what replacement coil heads to buy if you don't know the name of the tank? If worse comes to worse, call the shop and ask them the name and model of tank they sold you.

My guess is you could use a 70vg e-liquid in your tank. Just be sure to "prime" the coil properly and "break in" the new coil properly.

The below video is for a Uwell Crown tank, but the principles described are pertinent for ANY tank.

Yes, try to let us know what tank you have.

I vape high VG because I'm PG sensitive, and I would say there is no harm in trying your juice, probably. The worst thing that may happen would be wicking issues, (possibly) and shortened coil life (possibly). If you are concerned the liquid is too thick, you can add a few drops of distilled water to the tank, that should help a fair amount with viscosity and reduce coil gunking.

I've had to find a way to make my juices work in a lot of MTL (higher resistance than what you have, higher nicotine level) and I've been able to make it work. Distilled water was my good friend in that.

Best of luck but if you do post the tank I think more folks with more experience with that particular tank can chime in,. Best of luck,

Anna

The smok priv one is an AIO 920mah non adjustable output 'kit', the 'tank' is integrated into the body and uses the 'stick AIO' .6Ω replacement heads.

The 70% vg won't burn out the head, it may not wick quickly enough to prevent scorching or burning the wicking material. Of course that depends on how frequently you hit it.

If any liquid is too thick to wick properly it can always be thinned with a tiny bit of distilled water.

Thanks for that info, Topwater. So the original poster should "prime" his coil like shown in the video I shared above. He won't be able to "break in" the coil like shown in the video because his battery device is "fixed output" (not variable wattage).

I'm not a fan of any power device with 'built in' batteries, so I wouldn't consider buying one.
I agree.

Just considering the different battery chemistries that internal batteries use vs external batteries.

Internal battery mods use LiPo batteries. This chemistry is more "volitile", meaning it is more likely to flame or explode than the chemistry used for external batteries. External batteries use a "safer chemistry" that generally only vents gas when they go into failure, and are less likely to flame or explode.

  • For those who want to learn the differences between IMR, IMR/hybrid, ICR, and LiPo batteries.
An internal battery mod becomes a useless paperweight once that non-removeable battery dies of old age. When external batteries become too old to use, you simply buy new batteries for $5-8 a piece and can continue using the same external battery mod. This seems like a more economical purchase in the long run.

I'm a Vaporesso fan, but I would not buy a mod with an internal battery. You can go to Vaporesso.com and check out all the mods. I have 2 Target Pros in my daily rotation because they just keep working so well with the ceramic coils. I've been vaping them exclusively for the last couple of weeks trying to get the coils to die and they just keep going. I have new EUC coils and new style Ccell coils that I want to try.

Any of their mods are going to work pretty well. I recommend getting one of the tanks that use either the EUC ceramic coils or the GT or GTM coils. The GT coils are the smoothest coils I've used yet.

Beware the shinyitis bug though. While I was researching the coils the bug came out of nowhere and made me order a Vaporesso Nebula. What can I say, it was on sale and I'm sure I'll need it at some point.

Good luck with your next purchase.
