Hi, Everybody!
First of all, sorry for my bad english. I've been smoking a regular cigarette since I was 17 (this is completely legal in my country lol). It has been 6 years since the day one I smoked and I tried to quit smoking few times with no success. Few days ago when I went to my local mall and first time in my life, I've seen the E-cig, I tried it out and really enjoyed it. So I did few researches about the e-cig and I think I will go with it. Its really difficult to newbie like me to know where should i start because there are so many types of e-cig out there and I don't want my first e-cig would be my nightmare so if somebody could help me make a right choice, I'm really appreciated.
My budget is roughly around 50~70 bucks. Do I have a good starter kit with this amount of money? so what's my choice?
I smoke about 1 pack a day and my favorite one is a marlboro special blend. I know if I go with e-cig, I could never have this taste again, it's good though because I want to try something different. what is the suggestion for my flavor? How much does it cost for the e-juices?
My last question is where could I get all of these online? What is the reputable site with affordable cost?
Thank you and I'm looking forward to your helps!

My advice:

Get an innokin MVP 2.0 from 101vapes.com.

Get a nautilus mini and some BVC replacement coils (NOT BDC coils!)

The e-liquid is a bit harder. I could give some recommendations, but unfortunately you have to try them and see if that is what you like. Don't buy a large amount until you decide you like them!

Edit: Sorry, I forgot - Welcome to ECF!!! Glad to have you here!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping and/or looking to upgrade.

1. A Good Starter's Setup for a Beginning Vapor
2. Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with Egos and Mods
3. Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments.
4. Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Now for some possible options for you to consider:

1. JoyeTech Ego-C Twist
2. Vision Spinner
3. Innokin iTaste vv v3
4. Innokin iTaste MVP v2 -- $40 at most online stores (my personal favorite -- I have 4 of them)

The first 3 are fall into the "ego style" category of battery. They range in size from 600mah to 1300mah. The higher the mah the longer the battery will last between charging. The 4th one is a step up from an "ego style" battery in that it is a smaller box mod with a very big battery (2600mah). It will last many vapers a whole day before it needs recharging. It is probably one of the most popular batteries for someone upgrading from an "ego style" battery. Some vapers choose to buy one "ego style" battery as a backup and also purchase the MVP for their main battery.

You will need to purchase a tank (the juice attachment) with the first three on the above list. The mini Nautillus, mini Aerotank or regular size Aerotank (all made of glass) are very popular. The MVP comes with a tank but it is not glass.

Read all the links, google some of the batteries, and once you have narrowed down the field, we will be able to give you recommendations for websites where you can purchase products (if you don't have a vape shop nearby).

Hello and welcome, KennyH! :) twgbonehead gave good advice. I started over a year ago on the MVP and have since bought 3 others for backup.....okay for color. The Nautilus mini will give you a good experience. If you can, look up any stores around your area to try out their juices and buy in small quantities until you find what you really like. Most of all, be patient on this journey and come here for answers to your questions. Best place to find out stuff!

Hello, and welcome!

I saw your budget. Go with a couple eGo (or clone) battery. The little ones. Nothing sexy. They will "run" any tank you see here. Nautilus Mini, Kanger Protank, Aerotank, etc. Don't jump to the next level in battery until you have the cash, and have found a tank you like. Most good clearo tanks have a "beauty ring" that will accommodate your tank to the tiny battery, and make it look somewhat integral.

Once you have selected a tank, look at Innokin's products, and pick what you like. Or other mods. Vaping is NOT your battery; it is in what you put on top of it, and what you put in the tank.

Thank you so much for all your helps, I'm really appreciated guys! after reading all your advices and doing a lot of researches. I've made my own decision. I'm going to buy a MVP V2. Do we have any cheaper option for the tank? I heard that it's very important to buy a glassy or stainless steel tank to prevent leaking or something while vaping but I'm not sure. I also read some reviews telling that if I use a plastic tank, some e-juices would be damaging that tank right? What's the best website for me to buy all of these things for an affordable price? How much should I expect to pay for the e-juices. I'm sorry for so many questions but they keep coming up to my mind while typing lol

Hi Kenny, Welcome to ECF!
I am in the same boat as you and didn't know anything before yesterday, but after a lot of reading on here I feel better about it.
I got the same advice you are getting and after a lot of research I feel like it is the best route for a beginner vaper.
I bought an MVP V2 and a Mini Nautilus from 101vapes and I also bought a MiniProTank2 and an EVOD from Vapingme. Those were the 2 best value places I found and the shipping wasn't bad either.
I'm still overwhelmed with all the juices out there but I got some samplers from ECBlends and KillerJuice. I think the little samples are the way to go until I at least find some flavor profiles I like.

to ecf KennyH. So glad you are here. I think Susan up above covered just about everything. Wonderful post. The only thing I could add is when I first started vaping I ordered a lot of stuff from Fasttech.com because they were so inexpensive. It takes several weeks to receive shipment but I was pleased with everything I ordered from the regarding e-cigs. There is also a thread on ecf that list really good deals.

Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your successful vaping. Have fun.

Hi, GT86. Thanks for your advising. I definitely will buying the MVP V2, I'm just a little concerned with those tanks. So many types to choose from and the prices are variable. I'm about to buy the Nautilus tank because I found great reviews both on google and youtube about this tank. I'm confusing between the mini and regular nautilus tank, is there any difference between them? Will I get more throat-hitting with the regular one than the mini?

The only difference is how much juice they will hold. The mini will hold 2 ml and the Regular Nautilus will hold 5 ml. The bigger tank is just that a bigger tank. If you go for the MVP2 either will look good on it. If you plan on buying the small bottles of juice you might want to get the Mini first and save up for the Reg size tank later. 5-10 ml of juce will fill the mini many times, and the reg tank 1-2 times. 3 ml of juice lasts me almost all day. Be sure you get either one of the Nautilus tanks with BVC not BDC coils, and pick up a few extra coils for good measure (BVC). Good Luck and by the way, Welcome to ECF. :)

1:
Look for an mvp2 starter kit;

2:
Then you can start sampling some flavors, but be carefull not to buy too much of 1 flavor because your tastebuds will change.

If you can settle on a flavor or few, then you can get back to focusing on the hardware.

- later on, get a glass tank;
I recomment the miniprotank2v2, or there's the newer miniaerotank which as airflow control; I recommend these because they have eGo thread ( same as the thread on the iclear16's or ce4's that come with many starter kits.

PG/VG is the base mixture that juices are mixed in. PG is Propalyene Glychol, VG is Vegitable Glycerin, 50/50 means that it is 1/2 and 1/2 mixture. PG makes juice have good Flavor, and throat hit (it is thinner) VG makes more Vapor (it is thicker). You will find out what mix you like 50/50, 30/70, 100% of either after you have Vaped awhile. Just be sure that whatever you vape you drink lots of water. Vapeing dehydrates you (dries you out).

Yes there's lots of tanks to chose from.

The mini and regular nautilus seem to be the same except for size; the big thing right now with the nautilus, is Aspire has come out with a revolutionary replacement vertical coil build on the inside alot like how a cartomizer was designed. But they both use the 510 thread which is the industry standard.

There's a bit of a learning curve to vaping, so for less stress and frustration, for a new vaper, I recommend eGo threaded tanks.

MVP 2 and mini nautilus will serve you well :)

For juice: I had some success with Virgin Vapors. Though to be honest I'm wanting to find someone else, since some of their flavors were pretty awful and stunk up my tanks. These days I drip, and I go with the local juice in my area.

If you can, look to see if there are any vapor lounges in your area. They usually have rows of juice you can try... I think that would be more effective than ordering online, waiting days, and only then knowing if you like it.

HOWEVER: Don't get juice from gas stations or smoke shops that aren't also vape shops. Other people here would know what I'm talking about; but you should avoid those juices at gas stations/smoke shops that come in those rows that you can tell were sold as a unit to them by some big, nasty juice manufacturer. They are usually not very high quality, and while may taste decent (though most of them don't), they are usually mass produced with crappy materials.

Buy all the cloned devices you want; but don't skimp on the juice. Remember that the juice you buy is the thing that is entering your lungs and blood stream.

Yes! Dont get gas station e-liquid. I got 30 ml for 5 bucks, took one vape and in the garbage they went...
