Hi! M401 issues

Hi guys! I bought an M401 a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. I was very, very excited and I started using it right away, it was great apart from the occasional drops of juice I accidentally pulled back into my mouth (p.s. I'm using pre-filled carts that came with the kit). After a few hours of probably heavy use, it stopped working. Completely. I assumed the batteries were both just dead (even though the LED was still lighting up) and just resolved to charge them overnight. I did that... woke up this morning and tried to puff away - got one good drag, then less vapor, and less, and then nothing. The atomizer wasn't even heating up (I did notice the atomizer becoming really hot last night) and I was just getting nothing. Needless to say, I'm a little disenheartened right now and pretty disappointed. I don't have any juice yet, so I can't drip onto the atomizer, and it seems like the atomizer keeps getting clogged with water or juice even though no vapour is being produced. What should I do? I want to make sure I can resolve the issue before I email the supplier.

Okay, I'm pretty sure it's a liquid issue. I just put a fresh cart in, pre-filled, and it's all working fine. I'd better get myself some liquid! :)

As for how many analogs I smoked - I used to smoke a pouch, I'd go through 30 grams in a week. About seven to fifteen a day.

Liquid's a bit more expensive here and you can't get it with nicotine - it's about $10 for 30ml... it's still a great price though. A pack of smokes is $20 here.

+ 1 for the M401. That is what I started with then moved up to a Joye 510. Honestly, I get more vapor from the little M401 than I do from the 510. but the battery on the 510 last longer.............Be careful Dripping on it if it has an automatic battery. It is very easy to get juice into the battery which will ruin it.......

There are plenty of suppliers abroad who will send nicotine liquid to Oz :)

Hi
I started w/401 & am still using them ... I ruined my atomizer 1st thing lol

but after seeing this youtube video I realized what I had done .....

YouTube - Atomizer damage prevention

I just wanted to share, so far this is the MOST important thing that I have learned about this model

which is a pretty good little PV , little being the problem , the cart space is soooo tiny drives me crazy filling constantly.

Now I have a 901 & KR808 & even tho they are bigger & less messy to fill ,the 401 still probably has the best flavor & vapor production.

Hey guys, having issues again. Managed to vape all day until my battery ran out, and my other one wasn't working - it was lighting up but no vapour was produced, and I haven't given it a full charge yet, so I think that was the issue. I just charged the first battery for a good three hours or so, and i'm getting no vapour. Dripped some VG onto the atomizer, still nothing. I've noticed it seems harder to take a drag on it now... I wonder what's going on? :(

Thanks for all your help so far :)

So it it getting warm or not? They don't want to be dry but they don't want to be flooded either. If its hard to drag through, it's probable it's flooded. Try vaping it with a blank mouthpiece (no cartridge) for a bit so see if it clears.

EDIT have a watch of this video about the M401 series - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPHQO4tcoH0

Vaping is not hard once you are used to it :) True, it is not as simple as lighting up a ciggy.

Unfortunately though, a cold atomiser is normally a dead one. A few things to check -

- Is the battery LED activating
- Are the connectors clean (the metal thread on both the atomiser and battery)
- If the atty is very hard to draw through try blowing through it from the battery end (blow out excess liquid)

As a more advanced tip, if you have a multimeter you can check the atomisers resistance. A healthy one would be in the 2.7-3 ohm range. I normally do this on any suspect atty but it's not strictly necessary, as it should be obvious whether its working or not. A few M401's I've had rather than failing completely fail partially - they get slightly warm but the multimeter shows resistance of 15 ohms +.

Well, I tried everything - and the multimeter showed a resistance of... 15 ohms :( Except it didn't get hot, but I guess that sorts it... faulty atomizer. It's so strange that it worked for a while, didn't work, worked for a while, and now it doesn't work again! I guess I'll email the place where I bought it and let them know... that means another two weeks of waiting for one :( no Australian suppliers carry 401 parts. Oh well...

I still like the M401, but I never had much luck with using VG in them - just clogged them up. A lot of what you are describing sounds like liquid delivery issues. If there is no liquid on the wick, it seems like the battery doesn't activate. My assumption is that the mic switch is made to detect a slight gurgling. Try blowing out the atty so you can get a fresh start, then dip the tip of the wick into some juice and see if you get a good draw. An old contact case works perfectly for dipping, BTW.

If you are still having issues i would get cartomizers. I think these are very important. Carts do not last very long before having to refill. Far too much hassle for me... Also, if you use carto's and you ruin one, no biggie. If you ruin your atomizer (which perhaps you did maybe) then - bummer.
