Hello there:laugh:,

Since I cannot post on the treads I actually want to because I don't have the permission, here I go giving you guys a brief "IMHO" about vaping, ejuice, and life (not really).

As I mentioned before, I've been vaping for a month now (if you're into precision, it will be a month tomorrow at 11am). I also quit smoking the day before I began my vaping experience:). I didn't sit down and said to myself: "Today I'm going to smoke my last menthol nasty-smelly analog cigarette." I just opened my first ecig kit ever (it was an Ego) and began to envision a much better future... or at least healthier.

I did research for a couple of months to make sure I was getting something worthy of my precious hard-worked for $. But that did not prevent me to keep buying ejuice/equipment to try different vendors and well, we all know there's a huge selection available of flavors >.> so if you think I bought way more than I needed, you guessed right!

Do I regret it? Absolutely not and for those who aren't sure if ecigs are for you, it does not hurt to try it out! Get a kit (whatever you prefer) and try it for yourself!!! What is $40 dollars if you can save a lot over the years? Not to mention your life...

Some Facts:
I smoked around 7 to 10 analogs/day - menthol always;
Great olfactory system (even better now!);
I don't vape more than 1ml/day and my juices have different amounts of nicotine. Although I did start my first week with 24mg;
I bought so much in my first week :oops: that I shouldn't buy anything (doubtful) in the next 2 months in order to start saving $$ lol.

Kit: Joye Ego from Liberty-Flights and a mini maxx fusion battery from bloog planet (I bought chargers and adapters from different stores)

Ejuices I've tried:

Liberty-Flights (Menthol/RY4) - FAST shipping and both were great for my first vaping experience. Menthol is pretty strong, but you get used to it. If I had tried other ejuices before this one, I probably wouldn't be here. Or maybe I would be here advocating analog cigs instead :p

FreedomSmokersUSA - Nutella/Wyatt Earp/Kickin' Apple - FSUSA people are really nice, fast shipping, and they even sent me a sample (even though I had such a small order). Unfortunately, I cannot smoke FSUSA juice. It is too perfumey, even now after 3 weeks. It is so strong that it spreads over the juice box. I can barely smell it, let alone vape it. I saw other posts about it and I agree. Most people might not be sensitive to the fragance of their juice, but if you have an amazing olfaction and do not like inhaling anything perfumey, don't get it. Kickin' Apple wasn't as bad as the other two, but I diluted it with some PG so I can now vape it :laugh:

Gourmet Vapor - They take a little longer to ship your order, but they were having that huge sale - PLEASE do it again, I don't mind waiting! :2cool: I like the fact that you can craft your own ejuice and I loved the taste of GV's juices. By using their flavor creation tool, I realized that I love bananas and coffee as ejuice which is surprising because I can live without a couple of coffee or a banana. Oh, and of course, Haagen Dazs Dulce de Leche is delicious! (That is not my creation, so I'm not getting any profit by mentioning it!:p)

Backwoods Brew - They take longer to send your order, but I gotta say, their juices have a great taste. I have not tried them all yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

Bloog Planet prefilled cartomizers - Chocolate/ Vanilla: I love these flavors and I'm about try other flavors. Their shipping is okay, but nothing beats LF and LiteCigUSA. I also refill the cartos which are some of the best I tried so far.

Cartomizers: By far Bloog Planet's cartos! Followed by the Mega Ego ones. I didn't really like Boge but it seems to be a fave around here. If you DON'T like wasting your time with cleaning, better get atomizers (I use carts but prefer drip tips with atts), I realized they are much easier to clean than cartos. Keep in mind that I still have all the equipment I bought in working condition, including cartos which I did deep clean once and wont' do it again - too much of a hassle.

Sorry for this huge post:oops:, I didn't realize it until I finished it lol If you're new to ecigs and you read everything, I hope it helped somehow.

Cheers!!

Thank you guys! One of the things I really enjoy is the fact that the ECForum community (or its majority) seems to be very open to newbies :D

To Kent C: As I'm typing, I'm about to order some more flavors. Do I need them? No. But I want more! lol

Oh, I also just realized that I'm also starting to vape more and probably a little over 1ml/day >.< not good...

Get samplers instead of buying 30ml... Trust me on this. :) Although you can always sell stuff on the classifieds here - but at a fraction of the cost usually....

In fact, it would be a great idea if everyone here wanting something would check classifieds first. For the most part the stuff sold is not 'junk' - it's just some ecig or flavor that someone didn't particularly care for and something that others might be looking for. Tastes in ecigs and flavors are very subjective.

FSUSA - It depends on the juice. Some are awesome. Their Desert Ship tobacco is frequently recommended to people - it's very good. Their Cocoa is a great tamer for too-sweet juices. Their Cocoa Chaos is very strong - like cocoa and black black coffee. The oRYental 4 tobacco is sweet and caramelly - I have an ecig at home with oRYental 4 in it all the time and it's also a great mixer for sweetening a another tobacco. Their (Chocolate) Orange Ball is nice and also a great mixer w/ a plain dark drab tobacco.

GV - A bit of a crap-shoot with so many user creations mixed in with their own juices, but so creative! All of those crazy combos people came up with. And even though I have about a 25% success rate, I love creating my own. I do not make mine public unless I think they are decent. I would love another sale. I just spent normal price there yesterday to try a one of the Banana Fosters and one called vanillarum. One warning - if you have GV or any juices you can smell through the bottle, I recommend storing them away from other juices. Most of juice flavor is aroma so you don't want to get those strong aromas on anything else. I use a margarine tub and all of the strongly spicy flavors need to live there. My own Morgans Eggnog creation - whew - 10% minimum is a lot of nutmeg - but it came out close to how I drink my eggnog w/ Captain Morgans.

Backwoods Brew is like the king of all-day vapes. Nothing is overdone. Many are complex. All are unique because Don extracts many of his own flavors. My first and second all-day vapes came from there (Casablanca then Vanilla Bean)

I'll have to try Bloog cartos. I use Vapor4Lifes on my KR808D-1 and bought Premium blanks at LiteCigUSA.net and well as Vapor4Life blanks. The V4L WOWcart blanks are wound a bit tightly for my taste. On my 510 it's Boge soft-caps - I love them.

I'm checking it right now! :) Thanks!

Hi dormouse,

Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, when it comes to FSUSA, like I said, many people love it, but I'm really afraid of trying any other flavors from them because I can't really cope with it... >.<

As far as GV, I never tried people's creation (unless HG Dulce de Leche is one), I prefer creating my own and so far I'm happy with what I got lol but then, people have different tastes... and Thanks for the margarine tip!

Bloog cartos are the best in my limited experience. On the other hand, I used the same Boge you love and I didn't really like them. At the same time, I had 2 dead ones out of the box... lol

Congrats!!! I've been at if for 2 weeks now and can't believe how wonderful it is. I don't miss the analogs at all! I jumped in feet first with a mod (Prodigy v3.1) and a ton of DIY stuff, and a few flavors (tobacco flavors... bleh... who'd a thunk it) from some vendors (some fruit flavors too... eh, they are ok) I've been hooked on a DIY fire and Ice recipe I saw on here... it has totally saved my ....... I smoked 2 packs a day of Winston full flavors, never thought I would just be able to walk away from Analogs like this has done for me! I owe my life to the members and their knowledge that is freely shared on this forum. I have probably bought "too much stuff" too... but who cares! It works, and that's what matters!!!!

Olliebelle, I personally left the analogs behind right away. (2 pack a day smoker, that's big!) Don't be anxious about quitting, be excited, once you try it you will see what we mean! It takes a minor amount of "getting used to" you kind of have to relearn how you drag (at least I did) but it is a quick learning curve. No need to have anxiety over it, I started with 24mg nic juice, and the first couple nights I was so wired on nicotine, I had funny dreams and a hard time sleeping. I've honestly not had a nic fit yet (2 weeks in so far) and at day 3 I lit a cigarette to see what it would taste like. It tasted like chemicals and dog poo, I was truly amazed, still am really. I could barely wait the 3 days it took my mod to come, I was super excited!

Ollliebelle, the switch is easier than you think, it will come naturally and give it some time. I smoked for 30 years at least a pack a day adn for a week or so there was a transition, then the ananlogs started tasting horrible and the vaping was the way to go. You will get there and don't be too hard on yourself if it takes a little time.

Hey Rick,

Congratz to you too!! :laugh: While I definitely see myself checking the mods over the internet, I am yet to try one because they look a little too much for me :oops: but kudos to you especially for giving up Winston like that :) those ones without a filter are real killers lol

I'm getting ready to make the switch. I'm placing my first order tonight. I was wondering did you find it pretty easy to transition? Is there ever a time when you still really want an analog? I am super excited but have a bit a bit of anxiety about quitting.

Hi Olliebelle,

Like the other people have said, don't be anxious but excited about it :D It wasn't a transition more than it was just like "Oh... I like them and they don't smell bad at all!" Kind of thing :) I didn't think I would just stop smoking analogs right from the start like I did... Oh but I never mentioned the withdraws because it wasn't THAT BAD.

Hm... concerning your other question I'm gonna try to explain how I feel so it might be different for others... I don't MISS smoking analogs, but sometimes (not anymore, but in the beginning) I would crave something and I knew it was the s* they put in reg cigs, not necessarily the cigarette itself. So I would just crazy puff my ego for a bit and after a couple of minutes I would go on with my life without even thinking about a cig at all.

After a week into vaping, I decided to take a drag from a friend's analog. First of all, I could barely take a drag because the smell was really bad especially the closer I got it to my mouth. Second, I inhaled for maybe a couple of seconds (maybe not even) but couldn't go any further because I SWEAR it tasted like I was licking an ashtray :( So never again...

Good luck and just enjoy! :D

Good luck Olliebelle. Quitting cigarettes was very easy for me. I smoked 2+ packs a day of stuff your own harsh tobacco. All it took for me was a friend telling me he had tried one at another friends house and he wasn't jones'ing for a cigarette. I knew then I had to try. Cause I had wanted to quit for a long long time. Hope the e-cigs work as well for you.

Olliebelle, the greatest thing about e-cigs for me has been that I didn't have to quit - I just stopped wanting analogs at all after about a week of vaping. In fact, I haven't quit, not in the way we've all tried to quit before - the "I can't have another cigarette because I MUST quit" way with the cravings and crankiness and the oh-my-gawd-I'd-KILL-for-just-one-drag awfulness. I can have an analog anytime I want one. I just haven't wanted one for two weeks now.

Just try vaping. Give yourself some time to give up analogs completely. It doesn't have to be an all or nothing proposition. The first week, I didn't count how many analogs I smoked, I counted how many I didn't smoke, about 20 less per day than before I got the e-cig. The second week, I smoked two cigarettes. Then done.

Good luck.
