Over A Month - Analog Free (my thoughts and my setup)

Well, It has been over a month gaping without analogs. Smoked 2 packs a day for over 20 years. Since February 5 to be exact. Have not had one since. Feel a little healthier except the dehydration. I live in a very hot country (Qatar) so I should make sure to keep hydrated. Not feeling any substantial improvement in health but just a 'cleaner' feeling overall. It also seems like my alcohol tolerance is cut in half.

Been reading up on this forum, sometimes getting clarity and sometime getting even more confused, but always learning. I have not really had a chance to try this and that but I have though, settled on my set up. I cannot really use a MOD (although I made an impulse purchase of a iTaste MVP (510 connector) - used at home only) around here because I would get really strange looks. Even the small ego styles or cigalikes get looks. No really of any use to try and explain what they are. Some people comment they are a portable 'Shisha' (or Hooka) due to the different flavors and I do not think they are healthy anyhow. Also in the words of various members of this forum, it looks either like a lightsaber or a sex toy, lol.

My setup (started with 808 connectors so trying to keep everything that way for this year at least)….

Everyday vaping
6x V4L Dial-A-Volt Batteries (1300maH)
6x V4L Slimline Chargers
2x IBTanked 19mm XL Glass Tanks with Stainless Caps (with spare tanks/O-Rings/Washers)
2x Black Aluminum Drip Tips (with various other spares)
Have about 80 2.0 ohm Dual Coil Carts from V4L left (seem to be using about 2 to 3 a week), do clean them and reuse sometime.

Stealth vaping (for working/flights/public/etc.)
2x Bloog 68mm Battery (No LED) - Black (to sneak a few drags here and there)(Stealth-so nobody know)
2x Bloog 68mm Battery (Red LED) - White (to look like the real thing)(Stealth-some people think I am smoking the real thing - maybe 'reverse stealth')
Using these with V4L WoW Cartos (some pre filled and some blanks)

Haven't tried most of the juices yet (should have bought some coffee flavors!!). People might think I went a little overboard in my first month of gaping but I needed to stock up for what I was thinking would last about about a year but it looks like it will last about 6 months, due to working here in Qatar. There does not seem to be any stores that sell here. Just prior to vaping this I only thought I would be vaping exclusively tobacco flavors. So i ordered a bunch of tobacco flavors only. I had some advice on the forums that I will grow sick of them in time (from within a few weeks to a few months). So then I purchased a lot of fruit flavors. Still do not know what flavor I like but am mixing everything with the tobacco flavors I have and this is satisfactory for me.

I started out just vaping tobacco with some menthol mixed in. I added a little bit of fruit with it, Just mixing and trying different things. Sometimes on the mark (for that day at least) and sometimes just vaping for the sake of nicotine (cannot waste any juice because I really do not have access to any juice here) until at a minimum of 6 months. My current vape is (50% Tobacco+10% Menthol+20% WTA+20% Island Peach). It seems I am vaping about 8 to 10ml of juice per day. At this rate I have enough for about 140 to 170 days.

To be frank I get most satisfaction from the WTA's (Dark Honey from Aroma Juice) on most days but some days can manage to get through without it, I will try and phase out the WTA's for now (don't have too much left) and if needed I will purchase more when I return home to the States.

I do enjoy the hobby aspect of vaping but sometime with a busy schedule, need a practical approach to this as well. Even if I want to try new things it would be difficult here so I can just enjoy reading the forums about other member's opinions and experiences. That is why I am trying to keep things simple. Maybe when I return home ….

Looks like you are off to a really good start. Even if you don't like some of the liquids now your taste buds will be healing for a good while longer so keep trying them out every now and then. You also may stop liking some that you do like now. Good luck and happy vaping

Sounds like a nice little stockpile to me...Im just now getting mine where I want it. I even have one of those little plastic set of drawers with dividers for all my supplies. Its like a store everytime I open the drawer...But I still buy every 2 weeks.

Thank You TMK for sharing your experiences- and some of your successes with vaping.
I am sure that if we get 'questions' about our vape gear...
that you would get many more, as there are not many people vaping there 'YET' !

I can well imagine the kind of hassles you might get in Islamic countries. Looking through the photos of folks' setups, some of them look very military...it occurred to me that in some American cities the cops might assume it's some kind of weapon and just blow you away. Let's hope these critters become mainstream enough that that won't ever happen!

Actually I should not have. It was a 16 hour flight from Los Angeles to Dubai. Usually this flight is full but this time it was more than half empty. So I just put a blanket over my head and vaped a little here and there when the cabin lights were off.

Probably will not do it again but they (Emirates) did not announce that electronic cigarettes were not allowed but I believe that in Dubai (and/or the UAE) electronic cigs are banned outright.

On Qatar airways they do announce at the beginning of the flight that no electronic cigarettes are allowed to be used on board.

LOL.. I can't say that I blame you. That's a long blasted flight. I was hoping you'd found a "friendly sky", but TBH not counting on it. Or wrangled yourself one of those luxury private spaces in Business class!

Sorry a little late.

I do not like the rawr poison. It has a weird taste I cannot quite describe (a little like burnt rubber). Most of the tobacco favors are not that pleasant to vape, I always have to mix with a fruit or menthol. I will order some flavors from HHV (legend, dark horse, heavenly) and Aroma ( Virginia and some others- wta). I hope those are better.
