These are the flavors I have:

Tobacco Flavors -

Flavour Art
- Cowboy. Tastes like perfume, don't know what to do with it.
- Latakia. I like this one. Mellow light tobacco essence.
- 7 leaves. I like this one. Hard to describe.
- Dessert Ship. Can't remember, think it was perfumy though.
- Vape Wizard. Not a tobacco. Use it to even flavors?

Flavor West
- Maple Rum Tobacco. Pretty good. I used this as a base to mimic a vendors Marlboro juice.
- Virginia Fire Cured. Not sure. Suggestions?
- Honey Wood Tobacco. Not sure. Suggestions?

The Flavor Apprentice
- Tobacco Extract. Excellent as a base.
- RY4. Good RY4 base.
- DK tobacco. Was not for me. What is this suppose to be? Have no idea how to use this.

Flavorings:

The Flavor Apprentice
- Grape Juice
- Bacon. I had to buy this!
- Maple
- Root Beer
- Marshmellow
- Blackberry
- Caramel
- Peanut Butter
- Toasted Almond
- French Vanilla
- Granny Smith Apple
- English Toffee

As far as pipe tobacco blending goes, Virginia is in just about everything. VA and Latakia, as well as a few others are staples in pipe tobacco blending. Except for the drugstore stuff that is.

Actual Cyprian Latakia is smooth and smoky, kind of like the small of a campfire if you like the stuff. People who don't like it say it smells like burning electrical tape or camel dung. The latter being based on a myth about how it's made. If your Latakia has a spicier undertone, then they were mimicking Syrian Latakia.

It should also play well with your Oriental/Turkish flavors, Desert Ship and Cowboy. I know the flavors are not going to actually match the actual stuff burning in a briar bowl, so even with the top secret recipies that mortals can never see... You should be able to experiment a but with those four. Though that "perfume" taste kinda baffles me in those particular ones.

If you can grab some Perique flavoring, that will go great with the VA, either alone or with Latakia.

Sorry I can't be more informative here, but even though I have done oodles of pipe tobacco reviews, I was always describing the tastes to people who already knew what the constituent tobaccos tasted like. To try to describe proportions of flavor without a frame of reference is about impossible.

See if you can get up with Vapenstein on here. I know he does tobacco juices and is a pipe smoker and is familiar with the English blends. Since he has experience on both sides of the fence, he may have posted some info you can use.

welcome fellow vaper, im also a newbie whose experimented with some DIY flavors myself. ordered my ecig and ejuice at the same time, but the ecig came much sooner, and i was itching to try it out. i ended up making a very nice mix with PG and mccormick's coconut flavoring. it tasted amazing and i even starting mixing it with some of the ejuices when they arrived. the results were fantastic; it increased the amount of vapor smoke and the coconut tastes great with some of the fruity flavors i ordered. anyway, welcome to ecf and happy vaping!

Thanks for the information. The 7 leaves I have is just the concentrate from flavor art. I have read from many people that the peique black from flavour art is good. I need to get some of that.

Can anyone tell me what the DK tobacco flavor from tpa is suppose to be based on.

Thanks eveybody

The DIY section has links to some good juice calculators. I do the calculations then save the file and print. If you add something while mixing just jot a note on the recipe paper.

Good idea. I use e juice me up. Works good, and I like being able to save my recipe's .....even though I don't much, which I already regret.
