Hi I'm a sort of new member, in that I don't post a lot. I've been making my own juice for years. I've had no real problems until recently. I decided to mix a really strong menthol mix to add to my ecig juice. In fact it's so strong I can hardly inhale it. When you hold it up to the light the ecig juice looks like white ice.
I think it's too strongl I keep breaking it down and breaking it down and it has such a hard throat hit I can hardly stand it. Smoking is a relief.
I have to use PG to mix my menthol crystals which I get from Bulk apothecary. I may have mixed it too icy. Also I cut back on the VG because I was going through atomizers way too fast, and when I don't use VG much I save atomizers.
Now I cough like I have a cold. Which I don't.
Now I don't know what to do. Anyway, I'm about ready to throw it out and start over.

Try making up some unflavored in your preferred PG/VG/nic mix, and cutting with that.

What brand and type of menthol are you using?

What where your mixing measurements?

You may just have to throw it out. I have thrown out some batches.
It is a part of DIY not all mixes work out.
And I cannot handle menthol at all.

Do not get discouraged, at all. I bought Some "Extreme Ice" from Mt Baker Vapor...and it's like trying to vape Vicks Vapo Rub. The next time I work out, I'll use it to soothe my old bones.

Could use the whole menthol mix as a concentrated flavor and mix at 0.2% or so.
