Good day all
New to forum. Got istick 40wtc and having issues with temp control. Only way to get it to work properly is to trick to ask if new coil. Then say yes and capes awesome(kanger subtank mini). But having troubles getting it to ask if new coil.
When I do works great until I adjust or ??? Very frustrating!!?
Any ideas??
Ps vaped istick50w for a year. But got rid of it

Most mods that ask that question, do so if you screw on a tank which has a coil with a resistance (ohm) that is significantly different from what it remembered (or was locked in) since it was last used. Note that they usually ask after having shutdown (eg usually 2-3 minutes of no firing the mod) and a tank being screwed on, not when just vaped on.

You might want to check if you locked in your base resistance properly at room temp. See manual for instructions. Usually done by holding one or two buttons for a few sec.

Thanks.
Still causing issues. Might be the kanger tank?? Got a new joyetech cuboid and cubis coming Better chip and leak proof tank!!!
Could always be something with the tank but for starters, what coils are you using?
Did you screw them in nice and snug? All threadings on tank and 510 conn. clear and clean?

If you have a new set coming or a spare tank, you could swap tanks and mods to see if you can pinpoint the trouble maker.

Using kanger nickel coils. Locks in ohms @ .14 but when left for a bit it defaults back to .11 then not great vape. Tried another tank and same thing happens. Gave up. Now just using it with kanthal occ coils in wattage mode. Which is working just fine but not as satisfying as with TC when it works. Googled it and seems to be a common problem for this device.
