Hi everyone I'm new to advanced vaping and I have brought a mvp that came with a I clear 30 I also brought a kanger protank 2 so I could have 2 different flavours set up .

So I found the I clear tends to leak a lot and I thought I would try the protank.

I put it on on it made the vaping noise but there was like no air flow or draw not sure how to phrase it .
I tried both the beauty rings and there was no change .
Tried playing with the vv and vw still nothing .
It's a 2.2ohm tank is there something I'm doing wrong I.e over tightening or just got the wrong tank .
Any advice or tips would be great thank you

Hi, russ, Welcome to ECF.

So you're saying that you can hear the "crackle" when you fire it (I'm presuming it also reads the head resistance correctly?)

But when you try to draw on it, there's no air coming through?

You might try loosening the tank just a little (In general, you should only just "snug up" the heads, just tight enough so it makes an electrical connection and the resistance reads correctly).

And I agree, the iclear30 heads are not my favorite, by a long shot!!!

The protanks have a small airhole at the base. They do have a pretty tight draw, but you should still be able to vape it.

(Make sure the airhole isn't clogged up!)

If you're mechanically inclined you might try drilling out the airhole to make it larger?

Haven't used the protanks in quite a while; maybe someone else will have a better answer!

The problem is probably an airflow issue. If it's definitely 'firing' that is the only sensible explanation.

To be honest, the bundled iClear is a disaster so if you don't get the Protank working, try the iClear30S instead. This vapes very nicely.

In fact, I spent Christmas with somebody who uses this exact combo.

I got mine here.

iClear 30 S Dual Coil Clearomiser for £8.99 I guess.

and today, I've been vaping some very nice liquid from here.

LiQuid - Incredibly Awesome UK Made 10ml E-Liquid For £1

My shop-bought e-liquid bill has just gone down from about £400 to £75 a year. :)

Thanks for the reply s everyone I don't really have the time or tools to start drilling a tank in the garage so maybe I'll try a different tank.

Might see if my local shop where I purchased the kanger tank from will let me return it seen as they advised me it would work .

It's a shame really because it's a good fit on the mvp and it looks good as well .
But at £15 it should really just vape straight from the box with no mods.

Also my wife has the same tank on her vape stick with no issues at all and it works lovely .

I believe what's happening is you're over-tightening the tank, and for whatever the insulator on the bottom of your coil is being squished outwards, which blocks airflow. Try doing these three things:

1. Remove the coil and you'll see a metal pin on the bottom. Pull that out *just a hair*

2. Tighten the coil into the base lightly. You want it to screw in until it stops. Put the tank together, and try to draw air through it. If you can, that's the issue.

3. Tighten it onto your MVP only until it stops, not farther. Just when you feel resistance, stop.

In a worse-case scenario you might need to trim the insulator (the rubber ring above the metal pin) gently.

HIH

Edit: How the hell did I forget to welcome you? Welcome mate!

Okay so quick update .
Went to the vape shop and it was closed today so didn't manage to swap it for an iclear 30S.

So took a drive to another and purchased a aspire nautilus mini.

Filled it up screwed it on and it vapes lovely with no issues at all and I got some butterscotch liquid that Imo is rarely nice .

Thinking of getting a smaller cheaper mod for work .As I'm a steeplejack I need something a bit smaller to carry in my pocket that I won't cry if I break something in a about the £30 ish range any ideas welcome .

Thanks for the fast replys so glad I found this forum it's really helpful.
Thanks for all
