Hello and Welome to the Forum :) Grats on vaping, were you a smoker before?

I was, but needed to get away from cigarettes, got to the point where I was thinking about smoking all the time, smoked a little more than half a pack a day, too much money. I bought some 0mg juices.

Hey everybody! Just puchased my first mod, the Vaporesso Switcher 220W TC. I also ordered a few juices as well. I got the Smooth - The Milkman Heritage juice, and the Vanilla - Zabba juice, can't wait to try them. I look forward to learning alot on this forum.
Welcome. Please update on the flavors after you try them - I like Vanilla a lot and never tried those so I'd be interested in your opinion.

Hi welcome to ECF and congrats on your decision to try vaping. Depending on how dependent you were on cigarettes, you may be able to start out a 0 nicotine. You will be finding that you are detoxing off many other things besides nicotine anyway. The benefits of powering through any detox symptoms you have including nicotine, is that you won't have do any further reductions. You will be depending mostly on the hand-to-mouth inhalation issue at that point.

You may find nicotine helpful as you transition however, even if it's a pretty low level of nicotine. Many vapers do detox that way and then taper their nic at varying levels of speed. If you are finding vaping supremely unsatisfying at 0 nic, I would suggest trying some lower nicotine juice at that point, to see if it helps you through cravings, detox of the rest of cigarettes and etc. I personally found detox VERY trying, even with nic, but I was a 3 ppd smoker, so my situation was a little extreme. I could see this going either way for you though so by all means, start with 0 nic and if that doesn't cut it, well, maybe add some nicotine you can always remove it down the line. Having a little bit of "pleasure/reward" lit up in the brain is not always a bad thing and nicotine vaping is still harm reduction a great deal, albeit still using nicotine.

Welcome and I wish you much success!

Anna
